Aeonian Warmbloods
[e•oh•knee•un] eternal; everlasting
The Aeonian Warmbloods come from a long line of mutations. The original Aeonian, [url=www.chickensmoothie.com/Forum/…, was born from two chimeric Cedar Warmbloods, both of which were found to carry a variety of other mutations hidden within their genetics. Their bloodline has allowed for the species to display any horse coat and marking, as well as a few new mutations. They also present a wide variety of eye colors, from the most vibrant neon to the softest pastels. Their physical stature has also been slightly altered from their ancestors as well due to these mutations. We have found that Aeonians can fall anywhere between 15 and 18.3 hands, most falling within the middle of the range. They are a very intelligent species, and do well with riders of all levels and ages. Most Aeonians have been observed to be gentle and kind, but we have noticed some of the stallions are quite territorial, causing them to be overprotective of the mares in their barns.

This is going to be a massive impress me! I need a well thought out personality and either a short story (min 500 words) or a piece of art (min lined and colored with a background, shading = brownie points). Forum décor and dividers are welcome, but please no gifs or other images than the piece of art. You can also totally do both art and a story! If doing traditional art please have a well lit photo, makes it easier to see.
Since this will be such a huge comp compared to the last Aeonians, this one will last all month, Ending December 1st, 2019. Extensions may be allowed depending on the circumstances.

Calling You Home, Seven Lions (Runn)Feel the waves over my head
I'm into the deep
Fading fast, but running right back
Can't you see
That it's all my heart can take
Learn from my mistakes
Scared that it's too late
So please
Don't say it's the end of the story
Don't say it's the end of the road
Cause as long as you're there to hold me
I'll always be calling you home
Don't know what's waiting before me
But I don't have to go it alone
Cause as long as you're there to hold me
I'll always be calling you home
In the dark, I'm losing my way
I need your light
I know it's hard, but baby don't fade
It's worth the fight
'Cause it's all my heart can take
Learn from my mistakes
Scared that it's too late
So please
Don't say it's the end of the story
Don't say it's the end of the road
Cause as long as you're there to hold me
I'll always be calling you home
Don't know what's waiting before me
But I don't have to go it alone
Cause as long as you're there to hold me
I'll always be calling you home
Calling you home
Calling you home
Feel the waves over my head
I'm into the deep
Fading fast, but running right back
Can't you see
That is all my heart can take
Learn from my mistakes
Scared that it's too late
So please

I'll always be calling you home
Don't know what's waiting before me
But I don't have to go it alone
Cause as long as you're there to hold me
I'll always be calling you home

What's Waiting...
With eyes fresh from sleep, a soft nudge at his shoulder bade him rise; it was dark still, the coolness of the air leaving him chilled to his roots as he shook the rest of the sleep from his body. "Mother?" He whispered, the golden mare rumbling soothingly before heading away from him, from the herd around them.
"Come, Aonair." She said just as quietly when he made no move to follow, pausing and turning to cast her stern gaze on him. It softened when he turned back around to her, eyes on the stars above that littered the sky thrice over. "Gaze later, Aonair. Lessons now, my wanderer." Aonair snorted his assent as he surged forward to be at her side, the young colt quick to obey his lead.
They didn't wander far, just on the knoll that overlooked the herd; his father was nearby, ever diligent as he watched over his herd. But his golden mother took him away from the herdmaster, not wishing to disturb his duties as they did nearly every night. "What am I to learn today, mother?" Aonair asked, waiting patiently as they plodded further. Only once he stood still beside her did she answer him, eyes gazing out over the grasslands they wandered all their days.
"If you ever find yourself lost, listen to the wind, wanderer. Listen closely, with not just your ears, and you will be lost no longer." She promised, eyes soft and devoted as she watched her son close his eyes, ears flicking and nostrils flaring; a breeze lifted, as she had known it would, and he started briefly before calming.
"Tell me what you hear?" She asked. And Aonair answered, but with words and images her surroundings did not share.
Of Final Wanderings..
The heat was nigh unbearable, his mouth dry and sticky with the blistering desert he roved two days over. He was nearing the end of his stamina, he could feel it in the tremble of his legs when lifting each hoof, the way he breathed so shallowly as the sand and rock traveled ever onward in his eyes. But he kept onward, never stopping even as something inside of him begged for a rest..
And, as the sun began to dip downward, his hooves met stone beneath instead of unending sand. Shade grew over the ground from a cliff he had not seen on the horizon, and when he was nearer to the face of the jagged stone, he collapsed from his feet to the harsh, sharp rock. How long he stayed, he couldn't track, but when he rose again Aonair felt renewed enough to continue.
But this time, his mother's words bled into his mind; Aonair closed his eyes, obeying her lessons once again. Three years past, he had been enamored by her teachings, in awe of her knowledge, but now... now he used such lessons as they had been intended for. A breeze came to him, heated from the sun and uncomfortable in his nose, but with it came the relief he had been seeking; dampness, a scent of life and the tang of stone meeting water. His eyes flashed open as he gained his bearings, inhaling deeply before he moved from the comforting shade and into the open sun again, winding his path around the stone mountain until he came upon the spring nestled quietly in the rock.
Aonair was half submerged as he drank deeply, cooling his legs and belly. Lifting his head up, he stopped as his gaze found another. A horse as he, but colored plainly. Refined features, spindly legs that offered agility and grace, thin maned but wide eyed. "Were you in the dunes?" She asked, voice soft and dignified, but curious and worried. Aonair could do nothing but dip his head in affirmation, too stunned by her simple beauty. With his answer she was in the water next to him quickly, her rush splashing the cool water over him as she nosed and sniffed at him, her worry overbearing other senses.
"I am fine." He told her instead, thought remaining still under her inspection. "You live in the desert?"
"Oh, no! The mountains, the peaks. There is a valley, not far, where my herd visits each winter. How did you traverse the desert? Were you alone?" She questioned him, and he laughed quietly as he answered all she asked. After both had eased from their surprise, introductions made with her named Taithí, she led him to where she promised her herdmaster would be accepting of him. He was grateful to her, and they spoke of his hardiness and experience where he traveled after leaving his mother's side.
Aonair, however, was enraptured by the young mare, her every movement and word demanding of his attention like no one else he had come across. When a breeze washed over them both, it was as plain in his ears and eyes as the feeling rushing through his body;
You are home, Aonair.

Red is an outgoing stud with an odd personality. He could go from happy to mad in the blink of an eye. Red got his name from his color. Red cribs and doesnt like getting wet, but he never bucks or rears and is experienced in first level dressage. He was to be named 'Cheyenne', but He didnt seem to agree with it.
------------------------------------------------------------------
I stepped out of my truck, the sunlight just barely making it gleam. The trailer shook as the stallion frantically stomped about. My mind went to grabbing his lead rope. I got her out as she sniffed the grass. The stud began to graze, and after about 5 minutes, I took him to his new paddock. He enjoyed trotting with the two other studs I had placed him with.
Afterwards, I prepared his stall for the night. It soon got darker. He stood near the gate waiting for me. Red was used to being inside at night, so he always waited to be retrieved. I clipped his lead rope on, and he willingly followed me inside. He laid in his stall and I flicked the dim light above his stall on. I closed her stall door and then opened the top part of it.
Welcome, Red

Hey there!
Welcome to the group, so happy to see a new face applying for things! ♥
I do want to point out, for fairness sake, that Aeonians are made on lines
that have gender differences; you've changed the gender to a mare when
this adopt is actually a stallion! I don't want you to be overlooked for this!
Once the adopt is created, it's generally not taken well if a line change is
requested due to the thought and work put into the original type.
Hope this helps you out a bit! ♥
