Sultra prefers a spot in their underground caverns. Not just any spot now! Not too overly far away from her Healer's Den, there is a small cave with a rippling pond in the middle. Not many other lions know about her napping spot, as Sultra stays busy bustling around making sure everyone is healthy. Only Tyrion has found her napping there, which is perfectly fine by her.


Sultra flicked her ear and cast a look at her supplies. She had found a lot in this new territory to work with, she just hoped that she could prove herself as a Healer to Tyrion, Who had been kind enough to let her stay in his Pride. She sniffed through her herbs once more then resolved to find an area to store them in, so she plodded into smallish hole in the back that led to their unique cave system that was mostly underground. She felt uneasy as she cautiously walked down the passageway before it opened into a fairly big cave, with light filtering in from the ceiling. As her eyes adjusted she looked at the variety of openings, leading farther into the system. She could hear the faint sound of running water and chose to follow it. Using her hearing, she navigated through another passageway, and found yet another passageway that splintered off, and was just big enough for a lion to squeeze through. The smallish room on the other side held a glittering pond, and a sort of rock under the water that cast a little bit light in the room. It was cool, and felt nice on Sultra's little fluttery wings, so she laid down for a minute to observe it. She couldn't help ... but feel soooo drowsy....

Sultra snapped awake at a gentle nudging. She got up quickly to find Tyrion in the room with her with an amused expression on his face. " The Hunters are back." Was his only response, and Sultra felt hot with embarrassment.

"Im so sorry, i didn't mean to, i was just trying to find-" Sultra began to apologize but the big male just tapped her muzzle with his paw.

"Come on, its no big deal." He replied, and squeezed out. Sultra followed quickly, flicking her tail contently at having found a nice spot. She just hoped no one else found it.

Nigesa's favorite place to sleep is on the top of the Upper Territory buried in the snow. No one really knows why but that's where she likes to sleep. Tambo has gone up to the top of the summit to find her in an igloo of her own making. She would see so content with the snow lightly coating her fur. Most mornings she would come down with the snow still on her pelt and sometimes with icicles on her whiskers and wingtips.

It confused everyone seeing her come up the path to the dens, hard enough to climb when you're tired but continue up the path to the summit. It always left everyone puzzled even when they offered her a den in the caverns every night. She would always deny it and go up to the snow. Not wanting her to feel left out, occasionally the entire pride comes up to sleep with her to make sure she doesn't feel lonely.

She deeply appreciates this.

Kuua's favorite place to sleep is snuggled up next to any of her pride mates. It is very likely that, when someone is sitting by her, she'll doze off and end up napping on their shoulder. Most of the pride takes it in stride, accommodating it and even finding it endearing. Of course, there are a few who find it annoying. Generally it is Mzatamo and Haraka who get annoyed with it, though some of the other pride members can get annoyed if she - or they - need to be doing something.

Despite commonly snuggling with anyone she's near to nap, here are two pride members in particular that Kuua will often nap by. The first is Maji, Kuua's best friend. After being cursed, Maji has become incredibly compassionate and empathetic towards others; she thinks Kuua is very sweet, unable to believe there's a single bad bone in her body. (Oh, how wrong she is.) Kuua is always willing to accompany Maji and Kusafiri when they're doing something, with the trio having a great dynamic. Kusafiri does sometimes get huffy when Kuua falls asleep snuggled up by Maji - definitely not because he's jealous - but Maji always tells him off for it. If it's really necessary that Kuua not sleep there, Maji will get someone's help to move her to her den, avoiding waking her up unless absolutely necessary. Since Maji is such a sweetheart, it makes sense that she would not mind Kuua napping by her.

However, the other most common lion to find Kuua napping by is a bit more shocking. Out of the entire pride, Kotoko is often found with Kuua snuggled up and snoring beside him. If anyone tries to question him on the matter, he acts indifferent, stating that he doesn't want to overexert himself by waking her up. However, it is obvious from one look at him that he doesn't mind in the least. Plenty of the pride's members have stumbled across both of them sleeping, snuggled up together, but have collectively decided not to press Kotoko on the matter. They think it's sweet that the narcissist has a soft side to him that looks beyond himself, and they aren't going to ruin that. It helps that Kuua will often sit beside Kotoko and listen to him speak, generally offering him plenty of praise as well. Not many members of the Isle of Roses can stomach Kotoko's ego for all that long.

And, on the rare occasion that Kuua struggles to fall asleep, both Maji and Kotoko have reluctantly sung lullabies for her, generally not upon her request but because they thought it might help. They have also been known to do this when she has a particularly fitful sleep, whispering the song into her ear in a soothing voice till she calms down. The two are very protective of the sleepy head, and will definitely fight anyone who tries to wake her up from her snuggling naps.

Myskia plodded through the sand, allowing her head to drool in exhaustion. She had spent nearly all night helping her mentor, Earwyn, bring down the fevers of a litter of young cubs. It was rewarding work, sure - the mother had given them both tearful 'thank you's' for tending to her children - but it was exhausting. She had half a mind to just go to sleep in the sand.

But, just as Myskia was really beginning to consider it, she reached the edge of the sparse close of trees where she slept. With a relieved sigh, she pressed onward through the paling night, reaching her hammock only a few minutes later. Looking up at it, Myskia sighed again, before slowly climbing into it.

Normally, it was the birds that woke her up. But not today.

"Myskia!"

The brown lioness groaned, cracking her eyes open. Harsh sunlight immediately burned her tired eyes, causing her roc shut them quick. Maybe she had dr-

"Myskia!" The voice cried again. "I know you're here!"

Myskia sighed, now recognizing the voice. Her little brother. They hadn't been slept in the same den for a long time, but he always seemed to have a talent for waking her up when she really didn't want him to. It was part of the reason why she moved up here, actually.

"Myskia!!"

She groaned, then clamped her paws around her ears. Maybe if she was really quiet. He'd go away.

"Whoa!"

Ah, nope.

Myskia uncovered her ears and carefully poked her head over the side of her hammock to stare down at her little brother. He'd brought a friend too. Why?

"Myskia!" Her brother shouted. "Why are you up there?!"

"I think a better question is how." His friend interrupted.

Myskia huffed a laugh. "He's right, you know." Her hammock, strung between the tops of two tall date trees, was meters above the young lion's heads. Most lions would have been bothered by the height, but not her.

"Whatever!" Her little brother groaned. "Myskia! Stop being weird and get down here! Bremska and I found something!"

Myskia sighed, lamenting sleep lost. But, she did need to be getting up soon anyways. "Fine, fine..."

Very few lions know of Myskia's strange sleeping habits, and even fewer still understand them. Why would she want to sleep all the way up there? What if she rolled in her sleep? What if she slipped climbing down? Well, all of these are things Myskia is more than willing to risk. She loves nothing more than the cool, open night air high in the canopies. It makes her almost feel like she can fly - a gift so nearly given to her. From so high up, she can watch the sunrises and sunsets unobstructed by the high dunes. Sure, there are a lot of perils where Myskia sleeps. But by not taking those risks, she instead puts her peace and her sleep at risk.
