The mare loves walking through the sandy trails near the clear water beach, investigating the local wildlife and saying hello to swimmers; often following them if she was walking by herself,
Her rider would often get off to walk beside her, allowing young children to ride the mare and even taking her into the water for a swim. She loved the activity almost as much as she loved being groomed and prettied up, often showing up to her favourite spots with a new mane and tail do each day. The local kids and even some adults would often take her braids out and redo them, sometimes even adding flowers and other pretty objects; once she even came home from the beach with some shells.

Pepper loves the low branches that serve as excellent back scratchers, and the way the warm sand felt as she lays down to take a nap. The mare loves galloping through the foamy waves as kids chase her playfully, and bugging people for little treats like apples and sometimes sweets. Her favourite thing she was given was a cupcake, the sweet taste reminding her of her owner, the sweetest person she knew.

She loves the taste of the grass and the slightly salty tint from being too close to the ocean, seeing little crabs skitter away from her hooves; the birds that came down and investigated her, some small ones cleaning out her ears and taking fur to bring back to their nests.
She loved meeting dogs on her walks, chasing them around and licking their heads; playing with their wagging tails as they bounced around her, and most of all,

Pepper loved the freedom her owner gave her, loved being able to explore without being restricted by a fence or tack. Her owner trusting her absolutely, knowing she would return home safely every day; perhaps even with little treasures from friends she made throughout the day. Pepper was truly a happy mare,
