Pyrenean Wolfhounds are a breed recently discovered roaming the Pyrenees mountains, by a group of hikers. These hikers found a small pack of the breed and brought it to the attention of local scientists, who have deliberated and decided that these dogs originated from the Russian Wolfhound, or as they’re more commonly referred to, the Borzoi. Their theory is that a small group of them was released- perhaps escaping from a campsite or home- or a crashed truck. Over quite a long time, the dogs began to adapt slightly, and develop a hardy body, equipped with grippy paw pads that allowed for them to scale the mountains more easily. Despite being feral dogs, they have cheerful, friendly personalities, and are now open to being adopted out to homes. Although they’re quite a rare sight, scientists have begun to breed them and they’ve become a favorite among families and singles alike.

history: skylt really grew up in a tough spot. he was taken from his mother when he was about 7 months old. foxes were roaming around the streets and skylt's family were strays, ever since the owner's father forced her to rid of the dogs post-birth. foxes crossed their paths, and they were desperate to eat. they would rummage through trash for scraps and eat their ill out of desperation. the foxes stole skylt and one of his brothers to feast on. thankfully, skylt's brother was a little older and managed to keep the foxes busy long enough for skylt to escape. he ran and never looked back, and never saw his brother again. he's not sure if he's dead or captured by a dog catcher, and he'll probably never know. skylt had no idea how far the foxes had taken him, so he couldn't find his way back home. he lived on the streets by himself for a few weeks, getting the bare minimum amount of food needed for basic survival. then one day, one fateful day, he locked eyes with a girl. a human, around 14 or 15 years old. it was a hot and rainy day, and the pouring clouds showed no mercy on the pup. the girl saw the sadness in his eyes. she walked over and crouched down, offering him room under her umbrella. skylt was scared of strangers, but he knew this was his only hope. the girl gingerly picked him up and took him home that day. while her parents weren't very happy about the soaked stray rolling on their carpet, they felt enough pity to keep him. and that's where he would stay.

history: Just a little bit of history from when he was 1.5 years old. he and his family had to outrun Hurricane Katrina. Now, being 3 years old, he and his family still live in the same home up north with Figaro, Fire Starter, Jack, Dysterbia, and their owners.

- 2005, Hurricane Katrina was barreling towards his home in New Orleans, Louisiana. He was unaware of what was happening, nor what was about to come. He thought everyone was going on a big vacation. His owners rushed around, boarding windows and packing supplies, clothes, etc. They continued to pack the cars until they were almost all the way full. Silver-Moon watched in confusion. Why is everyone rushing around...? He thought to himself as he cocked his head to one side. His owners grabbed all of his doggie toys, his bed, bowls, blankets, and leash. They hooked the leash to his collar and tugged him out of the house. He leapt into the car and started shaking nervously.
- Silver-Moon watched the trees speed past them as he and his family travelled up the highway. He had settled down, but was still a little confused and shaken. They had been traveling for hours and he was bored and hungry. He knew the family would not stop, he knew they were escaping.... But what? He still couldn't figure out what they're running from. He sighed softly and laid across the seats in the back of the car. He rolled onto his side and closed his eyes.
- Hours later, he woke up at a strange place. Where were they? Were they lost? His owners smiled as they greeted other humans. He could smell other dogs faintly. Their scents were too faint to recognize so he stayed out. He heard excited barking and perked. He instantly recognized the barking. He whimpered and shook happily. When his owners opened the car door, he leapt out and ran towards the house. Eight months ago, when he was just a puppy, he had come here. When everyone was a puppy. He first saw Jack, then Fire-Starter and Figaro. He greeted them happily and turned to see Dysterbia. He and Dysterbia were close friends until his owners moved away. He greeted her happily, feeling great to be back.
