Pyrenean Wolfhounds are a breed recently discovered roaming the Pyrenees mountains, by a group of hikers. These hikers found a small pack of the breed, and brought it to the attention of local scientists, who have deliberated and decided that these dogs originated from the Russian Wolfhound, or as they’re more commonly referred to, the Borzoi. Their theory is that a small group of them was released- perhaps escaping from a campsite or home- or a crashed truck. Over quite a long time, the dogs began to adapt slightly, and develop a hardy body, equipped with grippy paw pads that allowed for them to scale the mountains more easily. Despite being feral dogs, they have cheerful, friendly personalities, and are now open to being adopted out to homes. Although they’re quite a rare sight, scientists have begun to breed them and they’ve become a favorite among families and singles alike.

- RUMBLE

- The ground shook beneath Rabbit as she lay in her house. Her head shot up and she looked around, ears pinned back in fear. What was that? What is happening? She looked over to the other dogs, but she saw nothing but empty dog beds. She looked around nervously before the second blast hit.

- RUMBLE

- The ground shook again, but this time more furiously. She staggered to her paws and danced with the ground below her. Once the rumbling stopped, she leapt to the living room, hearing a noise and hoping it was her family. Gone. Written in big red letters on the living room's television. She whimpered and looked for the nearest exit. She looked at the backdoor, it was wide open. She leapt for it, sprinting outside and seeing a darkened sky full of scarlet and orange. Black clouds swirled as a cool wind blew through her fur. The earth around her was full of greys and blacks, almost as if nothing had ever inhabited the planet. Rabbit started slowly walking forward, looking around with fear. Where is everybody...? Where is my family....? She said to herself. She started whimpering softly, but stopped when she felt something beneath her paws.

- RUMBLE

- She felt it. Again! The rumbling! It took her family! She started running, hoping to outrun whatever was causing the rumbling. She heard an earsplitting CRACK behind her and stopped. She turned and saw the earth splitting open, a bright red flash of fire and lava, and her house being consumed by the earth. The cracks started reaching for her and she panicked. Rabbit leapt away and began running away from the hungry Earth.

- RUMBLE

- She felt the ground shake beneath her as she ran. She will not let the Earth take her, if it's the last thing she'll do.

- RUMBLE

- No! I will not let the Earth take me! I will not die like everyone else! I will fight! I will run!

- RUMBLE

- I WILL SURVIVE!!!!

- CRACKK

- Rabbit felt the round open beneath her paws and everything seemed to happen in slow motion. She was falling into the red abyss below. The red abyss that took her family while she slept. She howled as loud as she could in fear. She felt something grab her.... But there's no one else here.... But whatever It was, it shook her. Bunny! She heard a voice call out. Bunny wake up!

- Her eyes opened and she sat up quickly, clearly startled. She panted and whimpered, shivering heavily. She looked around, her owners looked at her with wide, fearful eyes and the other dogs looked at her curiously. The male owner pulled her in for a hug and whispered, "Sweet Bunny, it's okay.... It's just a little storm.... It's going to be okay..... I promise" The male human gently stroked her fur as she started to settle down. Rabbit panted lightly and nuzzled into her owner's neck, happy to see him again.

his worst nightmare: reuben wasn't the bravest pyrenean in the world, that much was certain. so much as a bee could send him off hopping and bounding in an endless chase to get rid of its empty tracks.
indentthough that was one of the many effects of poor reuben's paranoia. one would think that a dog would fall asleep dreamless, though, with an active mind like reuben's, relaxation was practically outside the circle of normalcy.
indentthis dream in particular was quite odd, actually, as he began prancing around in a dimly lit field, an unusual tint spreading to every tree and patch of undergrowth beneath him. all was peculiarly well, or so it seemed.
indentuntil, there appeared a squirrel. reuben's attention on said creature was immediate, his ears erect as he lowered his haunches to the ground, hiding behind practically nothing but the wisps of grass swatting him on his muzzle. one had managed to lodge itself into his left nostril, causing him to rear back into an obnoxious sneeze.
indentthis, of course, caught the squirrel's attention, though its appearance compared little to that of a normal one. this one had fangs like a lion, and beady red eyes that could sear past any soul who ever clambered into its way. reuben had fallen victim to this, and was prepared to run, but froze as soon as a few of the other "alien" squirrels advanced in numbers, emerging from behind the trees and bushes that reuben had essentially thought were empty.
indentthe sounds of harmonious shrills practically wiped out any other form of sound, quickly sending reuben into even more of a panic. after unhitching his hooked claws from the ground, the male took no hesitation to bound in the opposite direction of the "alien" squirrels, his eyes screwing to a shut until he suddenly felt the comfort of himself within his familiar bed.
indent"reuben. hey, buddy." the warm sound of reuben's keeper swept his whimpers and whines astray, his head immediately propping itself onto her thigh. she tilted her head to get a better look at her dog's tense features.
"had a bad nightmare, huh?" she knew that her dog couldn't respond, so she allowed the idea to settle that that was indeed the reason why he woke up in a bit of a shamble.
indenthis keeper pulled him closer to the flush of her body, as his head rose to rest on her shoulder, paws climbing to offer her what appeared to be his idea of a hug.

Explain their worst Nightmare: It was so cold, dogs whined and barked at all hours, it smelt like bleach and fear. The floor was hard and the bars seemed to close... Locked in a little cage with barely room to lay and a stagnant bowl of water... The heavy boot clomps came down the hall, and the man with the pole walked towards her cage...
Cream woke with a whine, looking around, her owner stroked her fur and chuckled, "I guess we shouldn't hve let you watch the scary parts of the Lady and the Tramp." she said.
