Pyrenean Wolfhounds are a breed recently discovered roaming the Pyrenees mountains, by a group of hikers. These hikers found a small pack of the breed and brought it to the attention of local scientists, who have deliberated and decided that these dogs originated from the Russian Wolfhound, or as they’re more commonly referred to, the Borzoi. Their theory is that a small group of them was released- perhaps escaping from a campsite or home- or a crashed truck. Over quite a long time, the dogs began to adapt slightly, and develop a hardy body, equipped with grippy paw pads that allowed for them to scale the mountains more easily. Despite being feral dogs, they have cheerful, friendly personalities, and are now open to being adopted out to homes. Although they’re quite a rare sight, scientists have begun to breed them and they’ve become a favorite among families and singles alike.

best day ever ─ Mari's best day ever would be waking up to the smell of fresh made bacon and eggs, especially if her owners shared some on her one breakfast! Then going out for a hike with them in the mountains, chasing some squirrels and maybe even playing with some other dogs, then going home for a steak supper, and sprawling on the couch with her owners, happily stealing some popcorn (With extra butter of course) as they all cuddle together for a movie! Preferably Lady and the Tramp, or maybe secret life of pets. Then it is bed time, cuddling in bed with her owners, or at least sprawled on the end of their bed as everyone got a good sleep

Kalendra has seen it all, probably done about eighty percent of that all, and seems to not have taken to much of anything. She’s a smart one, and wisdom has only become more prominent as she’s grown into her years, but the end of the day always results in her seeming bored or dejected in some for or another.

Unless she spent her day sleeping. And not just anywhere, but on the most holy of places, where not a paw should be found to wander atop, not a nose to drag along in a desperate search for something not for a dogs belly... Kalendra absolutely has the greatest of days when she can leap atop the fancy, expensive outdoor table right on the back porch. She’ll soak up the sun, she’ll twitch her ears as sounds ebb and flow, as scents drift toward and away. She won’t even care that her loving human gets upset to find the large dog lounging across the metal hatch-work tabletop, worried that the nearly ancient, passed down from generations table will break under her weight; the table was more than a small few hundred-dollars when it was purchased by her great-grandmother, custom made you see, but what’s worse is that Kalendra could be seriously hurt if it did give way!

Kalendra doesn’t care in the least, it seems. Either unafraid or ignorant, but she has her best and happiest days when the sun-warmed metal keeps one side of her cozy, and the sunlight the other.
