Intake Report: Scars on Front Left Shoulder, Hind Legs, & Tail
"It seemed as though this Skepluvi hadn't been quite good enough for racing, they were loud and unruly, but still kept captive for who knows how long in one of the cages in the far back. They looked to have been forgotten about, not a scrap of food left in his enclosure, the wire mesh damaged and discolored, which more than likely caused the rust stains on along their body. Their eyes were dull, hopeless, and teeth cracked from chewing at their wired prison. The poor thing was terrified and head-shy, quite hard to lead out of the building and through the sea of vet staff. The volunteers had a difficult time even doing a quick trim of their teeth and a file of their claws, they were one their way to their new home, loudly protesting their transfer with the most pitiful noises anyone had ever heard. This gelding will need someone who is quite skilled in the art of socialization, as they haven't seen or interacted with a human being in quite a long time it seems. A close eye will need to be kept on their teeth, they may need future vet intervention to care for the cracks as they grow out. With a proper diet of cacti and other plant-based meals they should gain back their weight in no time and be on a fast road to recovery! Their future depends on you now, teach them for the first time what it means to be loved and cared for."
