What is a Pyrenean Wolfhound? wrote:Pyrenean Wolfhounds are a breed recently discovered roaming the Pyrenees mountains, by a group of hikers. These hikers found a small pack of the breed, and brought it to the attention of local scientists, who have deliberated and decided that these dogs originated from the Russian Wolfhound, or as they’re more commonly referred to, the Borzoi. Their theory is that a small group of them was released- perhaps escaping from a campsite or home- or a crashed truck. Over quite a long time, the dogs began to adapt slightly, and develop a hardy body, equipped with grippy paw pads that allowed for them to scale the mountains more easily. Despite being feral dogs, they have cheerful, friendly personalities, and are now open to being adopted out to homes. Although they’re quite a rare sight, scientists have begun to breed them and they’ve become a favorite among families and singles alike.

Favorite Memory as a pup: Dysterbia’s favorite memory as a pup would have to be seeing snow for the first time when she was about 6 months old. She woke up one morning, and tiptoed her way over to her water bowl. She shivered when she drank because it was so cold! Dysterbia tiptoed back over to her bed, grabbed her blanket, and made her way to the couch in the living room. She leapt up and curled herself into the blanket. She turned her head to look out the window to find a blanket of white covered her backyard. Her ears perked and she tilted her head. ”What’s This???” She said to herself softly. She shook off the blanket and tiptoed to the window, putting her forepaws on the windowsill. She gasped softly in awe as she watched small flakes slowly dance their way to the white blanket of snow below them. She wagged her tail and looked at the trees covered in snow. No birds. She looked back and saw Maggie getting the leashes for the dogs. Dysterbia leapt over to Maggie and sat down patiently. Maggie has pulled over a knitted sweater for her. A bright electric blue and bright purple striped sweater with Dysterbia’s face on the back wearing a Santa hat. She loved it! She was too busy looking at the back of her sweater that she didn’t notice Maggie latching the leash to her collar. A quick little tug was all Dysterbia needed. She leapt onto her paws and sped to the front door with the other dogs. When Maggie opened the door, Dysterbia was greeted with a burst of cool crisp air. Her breath crystallized into mist as she breathed and the ground was cold to the touch. She looked around in awe as she stepped outside. Maggie, seeing that nobody was outside, unlatched the dogs and let them roam around. Dysterbia leapt into the grass and was consumed by the snow. She dug around the snow to find the sidewalk again but only found snow. She leapt into the air and dove into more snow. She barked and growled happily as she rolled around in the cold solidified water. She leapt back onto the concrete and was covered in snow. Maggie laughed out loud and giggled, “Silly pup! You’re gonna get wet and cold!” Dysterbia shook off some of the snow and leapt after the other dogs, play tackling them. After a while, Maggie called them inside and they followed. Dysterbia was soaked and covered in snow. She didn’t care. She had a blast! Dysterbia got dried off with Maggie’s blowdryer and sat by the fireplace in the living room. All the dogs huddled together with their, now dry, sweaters and panted happily. Maggie finally put on a movie and gave them their breakfast. ”Best Day Ever!” She barked to herself after she ate her food. She enjoyed a day full of movies and an evening full of snow before finally drifting to sleep in her bed.

Favorite Memory as a pup: Mother's warmth was growing a little too warm, but there were new sights to see now! My tummy was full and I was content, my legs were still a little wobbly, but I was determined! I knew there was something out there, I heard mom playing with something that made the strangest noise when she left us alone! So I headed across the soft expanse, but soon I ran into a great wall! I couldn't see over how I was, but there were strange smells out there! I managed to stand on my hind legs and could just look out, and the worlld was so big! And there was a strange looking dog out there! It was as big as me and just laying on the floor, ut didn't move though, and didn't smell like my siblings... I needed to find out what it was! I scrambled over the wall and landed very gracefully (No matter the lies my owners tell about it!) and headed towards the beast. I jumped on it like I would, and it made that strange noise! Not the squeaks my siblings and I make but something exciting! It was prey! I happily grabbed it's ear and growled ferociously, shaking my head, and I pulled it over, I had defeated the beast! And that was the day I became a mighty warrior!

Favorite Memory as a pup:
When she was adopted ( Oct 29th, 20xx ), her owner gave her a zelda plushie, after her name. At first, she was confused, unsure what to do with it. She nudged it around, until her owner grabbed it. She grabbed in her jaws and played a gentle tug of war. So, Zelda took her plush everywhere she went that day. To go eat her meals, go take naps in her dog bed, and even playing outside. A couple days later, she was given a Zelda themed doggy outfit for halloween! The whole day she got that plush was just magical for her. Since then, Zelda and her plush have been everywhere together.
