Personality

Wheatie takes after her father Dart more than she takes after Busy. She's a free spirit who loves to go on long trail rides, though she gets bored quite quickly with the same path over and over again. She is very playful and inquisitive, and definitely inherited the stubbornness of Busy Bee. She is known to be a bit bratty-- if she's too bored on a ride she will purposefully rub against trees and bushes to get her rider's full and complete attention. She is not for beginner riders whatsoever, and definitely needs a firm hand.

Tacking Prompts:

"First Meeting"

We had been awaiting the birth of the first Skepluvi's to be born into our scuffle with excitement and anticipation. They were Busy Bee's first rittens-- a lot could go wrong. Despite the worries in the back of our minds, the excitement grew as the due date grew closer. When the day finally came it was hectic, but well worth the wait! We greeted the twins into the world with huge grins and lots of happy tears. Busy knew just what to do, and required very little intervention.
Wheatie wasn't the biggest fan of me just off the bat, but within a week I had gained her trust as she watched her father interact with us. As she grew (and oh my, did they grow quickly!) her personality grew too. You could definitely see her father Dart in her, she would snatch treats out of our hands only to run to her father or sister's side to eat as far away from us as she could get. ]

"First Tacking"

Despite her disinterest in humans, she was surprisingly easy to tack up, unlike her father Busy Bee had been. It seemed as though she was eager to explore the unknown lands past her "small" world inside the fencing. She had watched her father get to explore countless times while she had to stay back with her sister and yearn to follow one day. Most days she would run along her side of the fence, spitting and chirping away in an attempt to catch my attention so that she could go too! She was just too small unfortunately, so she had to wait. When the day finally came to put her tack on for the first time, I could feel her body shaking in excitement as she struggled to stay still. Tack meant exploring, right? Poor dear, not quite yet!
