Name: Sophie
Collar: #f6d9d3
Favorite Memory: The fields had never bloomed like this before. The lush green pasture was thriving with flowers in ranging in color from the palest pink to deep purple, all waving in a gentle breeze which brought tiny butterflies that flitted about the blooms. Sophie frolicked into the rainbow pasture, the young calf running ahead of her mother, and dove into a pile of emerald clover dotted with ivory flowers. She rolled happily in the sweet plants, the crushed leaves gently tinting her fur green. Jumping back to her feet she greedily grabbed a mouthful of the sweet plant and trotted back to her mother who, along with the other cows, where now into the middle of the field. "Mama, Mama," the happy calf exclaimed as she reached her dam, "the pasture is different! Every thing has changed! What happened since we were here last?" Her sooty grey mother laughed gently and explained to the yearling, "each year is a cycle. You were born after this part of the cycle so this is the first time you get to see spring. You were born in summer so you remember this pasture as being full of just grass, we left this field during autumn when the plants start to go, and while we were away in winter, this entire pasture was covered in snow. Now the snow has melting and it is once again time for the flowers." The little calf opened her dark eyes wide in wonder as she thought to herself, "does this mean that every year this pasture is this pretty?" Her mother chuckled softly, "yes my dear Sophie, every year this field is this beautiful, may you live to see many of them."

"Cel, wake up, sis!" the whisper interrupted Celesta's dreams of sweet clover and ripe apples.

"What? What is it?" she gasped, jumping to her feet. To her surprise, though, the morning sky was still dark and dotted with stars, and the rest of the herd was still asleep around them. Annoyed, she glared at her older sister, Alula, and whispered, "I swear if this is another one of your pranks, it's not going to end well."

"No, no! Prank you? I would never!" Alula laughed, then added, "Follow me!" and turned and began to weave her way out of the circle of cows towards the nearby trees. Celesta doubted the safety of going off alone into an unexplored forest, but she also wasn't about to look like a baby. Reluctantly, she followed.

After about ten quiet minutes of walking through the woods, the two sisters found themselves in a wide clearing on top of a hill.

"Alula, where are we? And you still haven't told me what we're doing here!" Celesta remarked, now really just wanting to go back to sleep.

"Have some faith in me, Cel!" Alula exclaimed proudly.

Celesta began to retort, but it was cut short by a bright flash overhead.

"Look! It's starting!" Alula gasped, motioning to the sky and leading Celesta out further into the clearing. Almost instantly the sky was filled with streaks of white light. It was like a million stars raining from the heavens or nature's silent fireworks.

When Celesta could finally tear her eyes away a couple minutes later, she looked to Alula's beaming face, illuminated with the bright lights and asked, "What... what is that?"

"A meteor shower! Most cows only see it once in their lifetime! It just happened to be the most coincidental thing! Happy birthday, Cel!"

"Look! A hawk!"
Eris craned her neck up to look at where her sister was looking. The bird was soaring high above, dipping and diving in the air. Eris's eyes widened. How nice it would be, she thought, to fly like that....
As it passed over the hill, she sighed.
"It's such a shame that we can't do that, isn't it?"
Her sister chuckled, "Of course.... But we can do plenty of other things!"
Eris furrowed her brow. "What? What can we do that birds can't?"
"This!" Her sister shouted, already running as fast as she could in the other direction, peals of laughter sounding out over the valley.
Smiling, Eris began to run, too.

indenthidden in the deepest nooks and crannies of her mind, glowing beneath a cover of dust, undisturbed, after years of still silence, lies a memory aoife holds dear to her heart.

indentaoife was born on a pleasant spring evening, as the pattering drizzle of rain and a rumbling of thunder sounded from the clouds above. but this was no normal birth, as aoife had been a twin━━and the smaller of the pair. the heifer had been deemed the runt, and that unfortunate title stuck with her throughout childhood. her family was supportive, sweet, and kind to her, as they should be, but neither could understand the pain she’d gone through; with no friends to frolic the meadows alongside, or to share a laugh.

indentthere was a day when this all changed, and it was when drue arrived. aoife paid her no mind at first, considering already that they would’ve ignored an outcast like her. but, surprisingly, drue spoke to her that day, with a kindness none other than her family had ever shown her. she was hesitant, as expected, and didn’t know how to respond to this new kind of thing she’d started with another being; a friendship.

indenta friendship would go on to last for many, many moons.

indentdrue went on to show aoife so many things in life she had been missing-out on, all while being patient and gentle with her. this newfound friend even managed to change the views of the other calves, and although never fully forgiven, aoife was simply thankful to have their support.

indentso when the heifer looks back on that day she was approached by a young, black-pelted calf named drue, she’ll forever be grateful for the friendship that then, and even now, has changed her life.

Collar: silver bell with an ocean themed collar if that’s alright:)
Favorite Memory:

(Heads up, this gal is gonna be based off this song she shares a name with, hope that’s alright:)

Dark eyes met the churning waves of the sea, whose frothy white caps reached for the sky above. A pit of loneliness pulled heavily on Brandy’s heart. She knew he wouldn’t return for a long while, but she couldn’t help herself, staring out at the ocean, awaiting his homecoming.

She closed her eyes and drew in a sharp breath. Salty sea air stung her nostrils, now sensitive from the many nights she cried herself to sleep, longing for the return of her handsome sailor. Each night Brandy laid alone in bed, she closed her eyes and relived those short periods when he was home. The pair would often walk together on the sandy shores of the beach, or on the wooden planks beside it along the wharf. She remembered how happy she was when one day he presented her with a beautiful silver bell. He told Brandy it was shiny and gorgeous like her smile, that he had to get it for her since it reminded him of her. She remembers that night so distinctly. He helped her put that shiny silver bell on her collar. They stayed up and talked for hours, neither one getting any sleep. He promised Brandy how he would never stop loving her. That silver bell was a sign of his love for her. When the sun rose over that seashore town, it was time for him to leave again, on yet another sailing journey.

Every morning when she awoke, she took time to admire the silver bell. Brandy would clutch it in her hooves, pulling it close to her heart. She missed him so dearly. She knew it had to be this way. Deep in her heart, she knew he would be back someday, and she could not wait for that day to come.
