personality; While originally an optimistic and idealistic gooby, perceived slights and unfairness towards him has turned him into a manipulative and bitter captain. He has a poor habit of taking everything personally, leading him to believe that any ambiguous statement or conversation is directed at him, especially negative ones. This has made him quite a negative gooby to be around, so many crew members avoid him as much as possible and keep necessary conversations as short as possible. This negativity has left him quite isolated from the crew, something he assumes is yet another plot or conspiracy against him rather than something he could change.
He lashes out often when a gooby is making an ambiguous statement, automatically jumping to conclusions. No gooby on the ship has managed to get away scar free. And some have gotten some pretty serious scars from his instability. Some haven't even survived, after coming so far after the planet's death.
