Forest Custom

Postby Inkeyu » Sun Jul 21, 2019 10:14 am

Here is the custom form the event for SpartanAmethyst. I hope you like her hon! <3

Username: SpartanAmethyst
Name: Tangek; bark (of a tree).
Gender: Female
Age: 4 years
Requested traits: Very foresty- lots of muted greens. Something that would be easily hidden on the forest floor, so maybe some stripes, some lighter splotches/spots? Similar to Dark green/medium green vitiligo-like chimerism would be amazing. Almost like hers, but with lighter markings instead of dark. Feel free to use a lot of artistic liberty. Really like gold eyes/accent markings.
Other?:
~ ~ ~ Story:
"Has anyone seen my Ikran?"

Murmuring to each other, the rest of the village shook their heads no. Nitxi (hurriedly; in a rushed manner) sighed exasperatedly; ever since she'd tamed this girl, the Ikran had been nothing but trouble. In fact, no one really knew how much trouble a Forest Ikran was to tame and ride. While Mountain Ikran bonded closely to their masters and usually became quite docile, it was more and more apparent that a Forest Ikran, while much smaller, were far more feisty and disobedient, even with their Bonded. It didn't help that Nitxi was a human scientist-turned-Na'vi, one of the last to be transferred into her Avatar by Eywa's grace, and a disabled one at that. During her Avatar's growth, something had gone wrong and caused her to be closer to the size of a normal human. She was often too small to go hunting or doing many things around the village, so she made sure that was she could do, she made herself useful. It also posed a problem with finishing her Rites and bonding with a Banshee, as she still often slips up and calls them. But, not one to give up easily, two of her closest friends helped her hunt down and tame a Forest Ikran. She was just the perfect size, and she'd cried from happiness on their first flight.

Now she could cry from frustration.

They'd become one of the Village's best scouts, and their olo'eyktan had made a special request of the partners today; it was important, and it needed to be done sooner rather than later. Of all the things the young Na'vi rushed on, naming her mount was not one of them, so she couldn't even call a name to help find her. She circled the village multiple times, searching all of her typical roosts and hangouts, but there was no partner to be found.

Finally Nitxi just sat down with a loud groan, holding her face in her hands in defeat. Part of her was just beginning to wonder if she should have just bonded to a Direhorse instead when a familiar chirp caused her to look up into one of the nearby trees. There, covered in just the right amount of shadow was her Ikran, blinking sleep from her eyes. She was huddled abnormally against the tree, in such a way that her stripes caused her to blend in to the bark lines on the tree. Nitxi sat in awe of how well the camouflage had worked, admiring her Ikran's beauty as she slowly descended to the forest floor and sat patiently in front of her Na'vi. Nitxi smiled then, petting her face and chuckling. "Tangek," she suddenly murmured, and the Ikran perked up. "You look like the bark of a tree. Clever girl." The Ikran trilled in response, and quickly the two tacked up and were off, down into the jungles below. The familiar adrenaline began to flood her veins, and Nitxi smiled, patting her finally-named Ikran.

She was so glad she didn't bond to a Direhorse.
