Prompt: Ronin’s favorite treat is sugar cubes! It’s simple, but to him it’s the most amazing thing in the world. You see, he comes from high up in the misty, snow-swirling mountains of Eldenberry, and not many things can survive at such high elevations. Far below his mountaintop realm in the valleys of the land there grows a special, unique type of tree, something called Auboris saccharotis more commonly know as the Sugar Tree (completely made up for this story lol). The tree itself is simple enough, it has deep, rich brown bark and knarly branches. It’s quite the eyesore, especially when it blooms. The flowers it carries are black and withered looking, as stiff and ugly as the Grim Reaper himself’s hand. But from the blooms sprout a perfect cube of sugar, one cube per flower. There are only 672 of these plants known in the valley, and the pure sugar they carry is worth more than gold for its rarity and intense sweetness. Ronin almost never tastes the plant’s gift, as the Sugar Tree’s seeds become sterile and sickly in the harsh climate of the high altitudes. However, every once in a few months, a Sugar Tree seed will reach the mountains, and very rarely, the seed will begin to grow. Ronin scouts for these outliers, and when he finds them he reverently keeps watch over them. He gives the stuggling sprout warmth and shelter from the wind. And when the plant finally blooms he is rewarded for weeks of hard work with only a handful of perfect sugar cubes, which in an environment where the only food for miles is tree bark and branches, that little bit of sugar is worth a lifetime of hard work!

She's got too good of hearing to pretend otherwise. Faust isn't supposed to have them, but the human, Roman, is kindly enough that she can sweet talk him into it. Rosita always says she's being cruel by doing such things, but the Blue Taffy Tobiano just won't hear a word more of it. She needs her peppermint treats.
