prompt; Alejandro was born deaf, and he grew up wishing he could appreciate music the same way as everyone else. He'd sing his heart out, but he wasn't as good as other deaf singers he'd seen on TV. He would get picked on, so he gave up.
The little guppy thought that there was nothing left for him to do with himself, and spent most of his time sitting at home in the dark watching Netflix reruns.
It was one day in April where his mother kicked him out of the house, "you need to feel the sunlight again, I promise you'll feel better". He wandered the streets around town looking for something, anything to do.
That's when he saw it. There in the window he saw people dancing together. They were doing the most beautiful samba he has ever seen, and he went in to observe.
The instructor spotted him and she asked him to join, but he politely signed off, "I don't know how".
She made a sound of realization and showed that she could sign back.
"It's easy, just follow the music"
He signed, "I can't hear the music".
"Then feel it".
A clock chimed and the class was dismissed, but Alejandro stayed behind. The instructor taught him to feel the vibrations of the music and to pay more attention to counting his own steps in his head than the music itself. Soon they were doing a fiery samba routine that would put stars to shame. She taught him solo dance routines as well, and soon he knew so many dances his paws worn down to nothing.
The parrot-esque guppy now takes daily dance classes and enjoys walks around the park where he can finally enjoy the sunshine, knowing now that just because you can't hear music doesn't mean you can't dance; it's there in your heart.
