He is particularly fond of non-fiction and documents related to his own interests. Despite his condescending attitude and self-infatuated aspects, he does genuinely care about those he's grown close to and does think highly of others. He very much likes animals, but they can get on his nerves fairly easily - so he tends to be picky when he chooses what animals can enter his home.
