Ikran Adopt - Male - Closed

Postby canis, » Fri Dec 28, 2018 3:11 pm

This unique male Ikran is looking for someone to bond with, but he is fairly picky about who he chooses. To win him over, tell me how you plan on impressing him.

    Impressing Attempt:

It was finally time for Inkeyu to bond to her first ikran. Having made the trip to the cliff side where all na'vi meet and bond to their ikran, she waited and watched until she was the only one left. She stepped boldly out into the group of ikran and met eyes with the large, purple and black ikran. She squared her shoulders and stepped confidently towards him. He jumped from his perch and landed directly in front of her, bellowing a warning. Staring, unblinking, into his eyes, she bellowed back at the top of her lungs. He lunged to snap at her, but she was too quick, and she flung herself onto his back. Leaping immediately into the air, the ikran twisted and dove and did everything he could to throw her, but she held on tight. They flew this way for what seemed like forever when the ikran began getting tired. They landed together in the trees, Inkeyu only getting off his back when she was sure he wouldn't fly away on her. She sat beside him in the foliage, trying to catch her own breath, when a toruk flew over the grove where they had landed. They both sat as still as possible, but the toruk saw them anyway, and turned for the chance at an easy meal. Inkeyu leaped onto the back of the ikran and egged him to fly. He did, and flew past the toruk and into the trees. Toruk was hot on their trail, and Inkeyu could feel the ikran struggling to keep to speed. Searching the forest for an escape, she saw a small crack in the cliff side and attempted to direct the ikran to the crack. Somehow he understood, and they flew sideways into the small crack. Barely small enough to fit, the toruk ran into the side of the cliff, and tried to reach them with only it's head. Unsuccessful, the toruk gave up and went to find easier prey elsewhere. Once they were both sure that the toruk had cleared the area, they both made their way from the crack and regarded each other. With a purring rumble, the ikran lowed it's head to her and let her pet him, before she bonded successfully with him. She mounted and they flew off to the mother tree for a well deserved rest.

Name: Dusky
Gender: Male
Personality: Dusky is very timid which makes him cautious but he also incredibly curious. He is very jumpy to small, all of a sudden things. Once he is used to it or in a quiet more peaceful place, he absolutely loves it. For example, he loves sitting by water with nothing but the wind blowing through the trees, birds chirping, and bugs fluttering. If he sees something he has never seen before, first he'll jump and usually he will fly away, but if whatever scared him was small, then he will go and investigate cautiously typically realizing that it was nothing or will do no harm.
Impressing Attempt: I will make sure he knows I'm there that way he doesn't jump and fly away. Then I will slowly and steadily walk towards him. I notice that Dusky is very curious about the rope in my hand, so I hold it out for him to "investigate" it. He smells it and steps away as I stand there hopefully gaining his trust little by little and hopefully getting close enough to bond with him.
