Prompt: With the camp calm, Nightwind found herself sunbathing next to the cliff face, laying on her side to let her dark fur soak up the warmth of the sun in the chilling leaf fall. The morning patrol had just come back and she’d just returned herself from hunting patrol with more than was expected at this time. It left time for much of the clan to rest before the struggles of bare leaf hit them.

“Lazying about this early Nightwind?” A voice asked, causing the molly to open her than closed eyes to the dark-colored tom before her.

“Have to take advantage of it before I can’t anymore. It’s a sunny day, plenty of prey, and much of the preparation for leaf-bare has already been done.” Nightwind responded, lifting her head to the tom. “Besides Kestrelstar on such a fine day like today, it’s best to use it all up after working the morning away.”

The brown tom did nothing but laugh at first, at the older molly’s words, knowing that there was some truth to her words. The medicine cat was busy with there apprentice getting the last of the herbs, the apprentices were busy cleaning today, and the patrols had already returned leaving time before the later ones would go out.

“Alright, I see your point then, I guess there isn’t any harm in it when we have the time,” Kestrelstar replied, at last, moving to lay on the other side of the molly with his back to the cliff facing the sun.

“Exactly you never know when these good days will go away.” Feeling the brush of the toms fur as he laid next to her, Nightwind laid her head back on her paws while closing her eyes, content the soak the suns rays in while they could.

Shadowsong is easily distracted from her work-everyone says so. A grasshopper jumps by? To heck with repairing the dens, after it! This gets her into trouble- especially when she has to say what distracted her. She's an honest cat and will always tell the truth. To keep her from getting distracted, she used to imagine that she was doing something much grander- hunting a huge deer instead of a scrawny vole. Shadowsong is also forgetful and loses track of what she has been told to do but she's trained herself to get better at this by creating a mental list of what she needs to do and pushing all other thoughts aside. She's a hard worker-when she wants to be.

It was hard at first for Ebonyfoot, being a she-cat meant the clan viewed her as weak and useless. At that time in Muleclan her only worth was based on if she could birth kits not how skillful she was in a battle or on a hunt. In order to show her worth Ebonyfoot learned she had to work hard and push through even the worst pain. She could never show weakness in anything she did she had to ignore the aches in her joints. "WAKE UP YA LAZY KITTYPET!"

Raven yawned. Staring down on him was spry little medic Mottlenose. And she looked nothing short of frustrated at him.

"NOW!"

He casually rolled back onto his feet, ignoring her yapping. It was the first night in quite a long while that it was actually pleasant out. New-leaf was imminent, but the night time air was just warm enough for a proper middle of the night nap even well before the first dandelion had bloomed that season. He stretched, and yawned again. "Easy does it Mottlenose. Last I remember, plants don't grow legs and walk away," he chuckled.

"Of course they don't! That makes no sense!" she yowled. She looked more than a little confused.

He forgot that metaphors don't sit well with her. She always was rather quirky ; this was just one of those quirks of her's. "I meant, the herbs aren't going anywhere. It's good to relax every now and then, isn't it?"

Mottlenose wasn't having it. "No. Make yourself useful and fetch some honey." She flicked her tail toward the tree next to them.

He padded over to the tall oak that towered over them both. Up in the highest branches was a lone hive swarming with bees.

"Can't we wait for them to abandon the hive?"

She shot him a glare that said she wouldn't wait another season for it. He sighed, his claws digging into the rugged bark. Sure, clan life was more exciting than kittypet life by a long shot. But sometimes Cascadeclan could be a bit uptight. Too serious, overworking its warriors till they dropped. Raven, he just liked to go with the flow of things.

In his clanmates' judgmental eyes though, he was a bored but lazy kittypet who napped too much and ate too much for his own good.

Galestorm's work ethic is undeniable and unshakeable. Galestorm has a fairly dark past, and guilt follows him constantly for past mistakes. As a result, he works incredibly hard for his new clan in an attempt to quell his guilty conscience- as if helping guide the newly formed clan would somehow erase the destruction he'd unleashed in the clan he had run from. No one in his new clan knows about his past, or his guilty conscience- they just see him as one of the best warriors in the clan, someone they all look to for guidance.
