she glances at the invitation again and scoffs, throwing it aside. sure, it may be the most popular party in town. but it's definitely over-exaggerated and hyped up too much. of course, zarina is also very popular in town. which is why she believes her idea could work.

zarina gets to work on her own invitations, bringing out special stationary paper and writing out each letter personally. after each one is written, she folds them and slips them into an envelope. a orange wax stamp with a flower symbol is placed over the edge, and the addresses are added onto the front. after an hour, all of the invitations are written and almost everyone in town in invited. she piles them into her arms and rushes outside where the mailman greets her, gratefully taking the letters so his shift is longer.

she rummages around in her humongous walk-in closet and finds old banners as well as streamers from past birthdays as a child. zarina shrugs and brings them to the ballroom of her large house, balancing on the top of a ladder. before she manages to fall, she tapes everything up and curls the streamers so they have an extra bit of flare to them.

zarina asks her loyal chef to prepare some simple treats and pulls out tables herself, hefting them up so skid marks don't appear on the ground. once the tables are set up, she grabs white sheets and throws them delicately over each one. she smooths out the lines and irons a few of them if they won't stay down, satisfied when the tables look pretty for guests. chairs aren't needed, for this is the type of party for standing and dancing. zarina even practices a few moves alone on the dance floor.

the lights are set, the speakers already hung in the corners of the room are ready, and the party is a go.

people begin ringing the doorbell, and zarina answers the door for each of them. "welcome!" she exclaims and hugs the people as if they hadn't seen each other in forever when in reality they saw each other at the grocery store just the other day. luckily the mailman was quick, and zarina made a mental note to give him a tip when she would see him next. for now, the party was on her mind.

everyone heads immediately towards the ballroom and all of them gaze wide-eyed at the decorations. the streamers and fairy lights look beautiful against the tall windows, where moonlight streams in as the only other source of light.

people munch on the snacks and eat the sweets, murmuring their appreciation. "this is better than that other party we were invited to!" most claim and compliment her.

the music starts up, and everyone cheers. zarina laughs and begins dancing, starting a whole chain of wiggling hips.

this party was bound to be a blast.
