Oulyxes "Oly"

---- Eko is highly devoted to Oly, though no one knows. Not even Oly. He greatly admires the starry pal and his work and is always curious what he's up to. Eko readily admits that he doesn't usually understand what Oly's doing or talking about, but he's always ready to try to learn and understand. Oly has even inspired Eko to take up an interest in astronomy, physics, and engineering.
----In his free time, Eko can almost always be found hanging out with Oly in the starry pal's lab or observatory. Eko often helps him out by writing down measurements or keeping track of notes, materials, and tools while Oly works on whatever current project he's got going.
----No one else in Eko's life can really compare to how much Eko idolizes and respects Oly. Ever since they first met when they were younger, Eko has admired him. Oly's work ethic and clear mathematical and scientific talent impressed him and served as motivation for Eko when he was struggling with falling behind. Oly's attitude and the way he let nothing get under his skin or phase him also drew Eko to him at a time when Eko was struggling with feelings of insecurity and loss. Though Eko mostly feels respect and admiration toward Oly, there are some slightly romantic feelings hidden just beneath the surface.
----Oly seems quite oblivious to the moth pal's infatuation with him and to outsiders, it likely doesn't look like Oly even seems to really appreciate what Eko does for him. Some may say it's because he's too wrapped up in his work to pay much attention to others around him, others may say it's because he's too self absorbed to even really be aware of it.
----Either way, Eko doesn't really mind. He's happy just to be friends with Oly and hang out with him and help him out when he needs it. He doesn't really need verbal confirmation or validation that Oly appreciates his work for him because he's not doing it to try to get noticed. Eko does it to genuinely help him, and can tell just by how the other pal talks to him and what he tells him that Oly trusts him more than any other poncho pal out there.
----Oly can be cold and closed off on a good day, but since he's known him Eko has detected a change beginning to happen in his attitude and he senses that Oly may be beginning to warm up more to him. The starry pal has become more relaxed around him and just a little more open about his past, home life, and his current projects and plans. Though Eko is more than content being Oly's friend and lab assistant, he can't help but hope that one day Oly may warm up to him enough to see him as more than a friend.
----Oly truly is the light of his life and he doesn't know what he'd ever do without him.

The two are best friends, and separating them would likely result in Banoi going into a deep depression.
