As you may have noticed approaching this breathtaking babe, there seems to be something off about him. His mane is long, his eyes are a piercing blue and the tips of his ears hold the slightest shade pink like a child blushing. It isn't until you draw near though that you come to realize this boy is both blind and deaf! Oh my. Have no fear, this lad was not injured he was born this way. Do you have what it takes to earn his trust?

His companion is Storm, a fiesty young mare that somehow took it upon herself to help this confused draft. Her harsh words and snappy attitude have never reached his ears, and he simply feels her gentle caresses along his side, helping to guide him along. She talks to him almost constantly, boasting about this or that. He's absolutely the best listener, and he never interrupts her except for the occasional snort. He never calls her out on her stories, no matter how much she embellishes or "enhances" them, and they get along just perfectly. What Storm probably won't ever realize is that Soul actually knows how much she talks to him, as he can occasionally feel the little bursts of breath that accompany her words, or he can feel the gentle rumble of her breath when her side is pressed against his. Together, they make a wonderful team, and they get along quite well despite Soul's anomalies.
Coping in New Environments: Surprisingly, Soul does.
How: Soul himself may never quite realize it, but the entire tribe takes wonderful care of him. The Shaman believes that he is a spirit, and she has taken wonderful care of him ever since he wandered into the tribe's home. The tribe believes that his white coat is because he embodies the great souls of the Rajarshi, and they believe that his inability to see or hear them is because he is not of this world. Due to their nature, the entire Tribe reveres Soul, and they take great measures to ensure his happiness. Because of this, Soul has been quite pampered throughout his life. He does not truly realize that he is impaired at all, and actually has quite a lot of confidence for a horse who can't get around very well. With Storm, the Shaman, and all of the other tribe members around, he feels quite safe and it seems as though someone is always there to help guide him when he is lost. Even when he is frightened, they are always there to gently guide him in the right direction, and their presence is very calming to him.

She keeps him calm since he gets scared not being able to see anything.
Precious lays with him at night and makes sure he’s safe. She is always watching out for him and making sure he doesnt run into anything that can really harm him.

Lucker plays around with Lynx in the paddock whenever he gets the chance.
He is a funny little goat but can also be annoying since he’s always head-butting everyone.

Camazotz (Mesoamerican; in Mayan mythology, Camazotz was a bat god associated with the night, death, and sacrifice.)

xxxDark eyes gleamed under the shine of stars; deep, endless pools that seemed quite capable of peering directly through one's soul. Camazotz cast an intimidating shadow on the dimly illuminated earth, frightening creatures below and sending them to flee. Long since leaving his colony behind, the impassive creature now spent nights on his own, wandering, searching for something to sate his ever-growing boredom. So far, he had been very unsuccessful, resulting in night after night of the same tedious routine. Though, he would not be disheartened. He was much too stubborn to give up or return home; his colony lived shrouded in old traditions that Camazotz had grown to absolutely detest after so many years. He would not go back, even if that meant dooming himself to this endless search.
xxxSomething caught in the corner of his eye, a creature who did not turn to escape when the prodigious bat soared ominously overhead, and this was more than enough to draw his attention in a time of such restlessness. Camazotz circled back, finding a perch that hung a mere few feet above the ghostly stallions' head, mischievous eyes dancing with curiosity as he studied his find. This charger's ears remained always still, despite all the soft rustlings in the night, and while his icy eyes were wide, they focused on nothing. It did not take Camazotz long to solve this riddle, and while he felt poorly for the stallion, the roguish bat decided to have a bit of fun at his expense.
xxxFalling from the thin, withered old branch, he landed against the pale steed's strong, curved neck. talons lightly tangled in his creamy mane, securing him in place, at least he thought. The instant Camazotz came into contact with the snow white stallion he had flung into action, throwing the troublesome bat to the ground with one powerful swing of his neck. Shadowfax threw himself onto his hind legs with a scream, landing heavily just inches away from where Camazotz had hit the ground, blowing hot air into the flying fox's' face with a wet snort. He had to admit the display was admirable, he'd not expected such vigor from the disadvantaged stallion. It was enough to earn the respect of Camazotz, who picked himself out of the dirt and pressed his own soft nose against that of the charger. Perhaps he'd found his entertainment.
[ New Enviroments ]

xxxShadowfax would have you believe he adapts seamlessly; that he takes and adjusts to anything thrown at him. Far too stubborn to let a single soul know of the struggles he faces on the daily, just because of who he is. While there is some truth to this, the pale stallion suffers immensely. Shadowfax lives by the phrase per aspera ad astra; through difficulty to the stars. He refuses to be beaten down by by aspects far out of his control, and has gotten as far as he has through nothing more than sheer will to survive. He is a stoic beast; though he must bear much adversity and misery to make it through each day, Shadowfax will never let the world see the slightest twinge of his pain.
xxxThings have been easier, for Shadowfax, ever since his first encounter with the trickster Camazotz. Though it often appears to outsiders that he despites the flying fox with how often he snaps and stomps and protests, but the bat has made his life significantly better. He offers companionship, a guiding hand, and purpose for previously empty, pointless days spent wandering alone. The ghostly beast had been ostracized by all he knew for being born as he was, he had been alone for as long as he could remember, figjting himself and the world all at once. Camazotz aids in those battles more than he would care to admit even to himself; if ever he had to return to his solitude, Shadowfax would surely be lost.
