Redsun was sent on a patrol that day, the sun waning over him as he thought of the sickly small pile of prey they had left. His ears flicked to the side as he noticed the white paint of the picket fence beside him, perhaps he was getting too close to the farm.. though the farm had always had the most prey, the field mice picking at the fallen corn and bits of crops left by the crows. He had decided he was far enough, for today was too hot for any twoleg to be farming, yes? That's just his opinion, of course. He was not actually a twoleg himself, so why would he know what one would do? He continued to hunt never the less, couching low beside the white fence, his ears pricked to listen for the rustling of the mice or the twitch of their tails. He looked up from the ground, hearing a bend in the wheat ahead. Alas, there was a mouse tail peering from the corner, bright and pink-- the mouse's gray fur poking around the sides of it. He'd begin to stalk forward, his muscles tensing and his tail flickering in the sky behind him. He pounced, rather quickly, and began tumbling around the ground with the pesky little critter. He seemed to have rolled under the neat picket fence, his fur now being coated with the lands towed soil as he bumbled around like an idiot, fighting with the mouse. He, of course, lost, the mouse running with it's little legs back under the picket fence, and that's when he heard the noise. He stood up, looking up to face a rather ugly twoleg, his musty brown fur peering from beneath the hat, overall straps draped over his shoulder, and a rather large rake held in his palm. Redsun began to think the twoleg was angry for some reason, for he grumbled fairly loud words. Well, he wouldn't call them words. More like twoleg yowling. Redsun began to scramble back, the twoleg waving his rake in the air, though he had lost his grip during the seemingly long time it had took Redsun to reach the fence, the rake rather quickly towards him. He tensed, naturally, and held his eyes shut as he felt a piercing pain slash his eye. He managed to escape, yes, but not without a rather painful trophy to bring with him.

Perhaps he was too close after all.

How did this cat get their scars?:
She was running from something in the dark, that's all she can remember of the moment when it started. It felt like the shadows were catching up to her, clutching at her and dragging at her fur, the rush of each bramble past her. She could feel sweat plastering her fur to her body and tears streaking down her face, she was exhausted. How had it caught up so fast? She couldn't comprehend.
A moment ago she was resting in a comfortable spot, under a tree where the moonlight filtered through the leaves. She knew it was chasing her, she knew she was being followed at least. But for rest, for how long she had trailed ahead of it at a constant speed, she was sure she had time. She was sorely wrong.
Her heartbeat pounded louder than her paws on the forest floor, not even attempting to mask her path as she made a mad dash. It was silent, silent as the night could be with her tearing through it, every leaf crunching underfoot. The moon was out and all that there were, were shadows, looming and shifting with her own. She knew better, where there were places the moonlight didn't reach, it was there. In the deep crevices of her mind, it was there. She felt eyes on her, baring into her, and had to hold her tongue to stop from crying out in pain at the clenching in her chest from sheer anxiety. She was absolutely drained, exhausted.
It moved too quickly, too quietly, too precisely. This was not some determined cat with a vendetta, no, this was a mindless monster hungering for her ever since it had caught her scent suns ago. She saw the rock on the ground just ahead of her too late as she returned from a peer over her shoulder, her toe catching on it and sending her tumbling to the ground. Her body heaved with exhaustion and her ears stood straight up, swiveling for even the tiniest hint of sound. She knew the beast would make none, but she still listened, her breath shuddering in her attempt to slow it and quiet her heart. She couldn't see it, but it could see her. She couldn't hear it but it could hear her. She couldn't find it... but it would always find her.
And in the silence, the clouds drifted away from the moon, the light shining through the trees to reveal...
Nothing. Nothing was there.
She still felt scared, threatened. It could be out there. It was out there- there was no way- no... no way...
No way she could have... made it up...
Had she?
Was it all in her head, this monster chasing her relentlessly, gaining, and leaving her with this pain in her lungs? Never letting her sleep, was it just the shadows and her imagination exaggerating it?
She didn't wait to find out, leaping to her paws and bolting away fervently. The more she thought about it, the more sense it made. This was a trick of fear her mind had made to give her unrest. A creature making absolutely no sound, that is invisible within the darkness, and who never lets up... She was right. It was all in her head. It's all in her head... she kept telling herself that, and just when she could hear it crashing through the brush behind her, gaining, she shook her head clear.
No! It's all in my head! She cried to herself, convincing herself the crunch of sticks and leaves were from her own thundering steps. She turned on a dime, a stubbornness to her resolution. And she was, resolute. She didn't waste a second dashing back towards the shadows, but her heart still hammered her fur still on end, she shouted into the night trying to beat her anxiety.
"You're not real!" She cried, her voice quivering, "You. Are. Not real!" She wailed again, sharper and assured.

But she was wrong, it was all too real. It's black pelt was seamless but those glaring golden eyes leered into her very soul, claws sharper than she'd even seen and it was huge.
It lashed out at her, and she reeled back, too late, as its claws hooked into her and barely missed her eye, but blood seeped into it and she couldn't see. She could hear running water nearby. She hadn't been wrong, she hadn't been wrong! She was terrified, but suddenly an idea came to mind.
It was like her, but huge, and black, and that meant it could be tricked. She ran like her life depended on it, and could feel it on her heels... she broke through the brush.
And she dove into the river.
It was over.

How did this cat get their scars?: Patch bears two scars across her eye, how she got these scars could be considered quite an amusing story.
Patch originated in the twoleg town in the North-Eastern area of the island. She was a stray, and so was a hardy and capable survivor by the time she began to wander beyond the town. During her first year, she began to travel further and further away from her home around the docks, until she eventually came across one of the farms in the countryside. She met a molly who lived in the barns, and she allowed Patch to stay with her for a few days whilst she decided where to go from there.
After two days, Patch decided that she would travel further south, to explore the island and all it's riches. As she was beginning to leave, the mollies found themselves being chased around by the farm dogs. The barn cat knew how to avoid them, and managed to escape without a fuss. Unfortunately for Patch, she was cornered between the dogs and a metal linked fence. She resorted to crawling out under the fence, and managed to escape after a hasty struggle to squeeze under, which left her with a scratched eye due to the barbed metal at the bottom of the fence. It's an amusing story that Patch often likes to share, loving how surprised cats are when she tells them it was from a fence and not some ruffian on her journey.

How did this cat get their scars?:

Most of her life before the rogue group was a dark blur. The medicine cat told her it was her most likely her brain working to keep her safe from memories she was better off not remembering. She's fine with that, really; the past is better off in the past, and her old baggage can't drag her down this way. It just makes it easier to start her new life with the clan cats.

There is one moment though, that she remembers all too well. Life had been hard before she joined the rogues. Every day was a struggle, every mouthful of food came with a fight. It was always the hardest for single cats. Family groups and bands that formed for mutual benefit helped assure your safety, made it easier to know where a meal was coming from. It was helpful to have other cats watching your back. When you were alone you had to fight twice as hard to stay alive.

It makes sense, then, that her luck would finally run out. She had wandered unknowingly onto a groups territory and they hadn't reacted kindly when they found her. Any pleas for a peaceful resolution, promising she wouldn't do it again, fell on deaf ears as they gave chase. A young, lone cat stood no chance against so many others. They had soon caught her, and cornered, she turned to fight. The large tom that led the band hardly had time to land a blow- but land it he did, she was reminded of the time, even now- before a second, larger group jumped in, ready for a fight. The first group left then, not itching for a fight they couldn't win.

To this day, she never knew why the second group jumped in, but she joined them willingly, knowing they offered her a better chance of survival. And, when they made the move to clan territory, she could only be thankful that they brought her to a place she felt so at home. She may be loyal to her clan, but she'd always hold a respect for those who made her joining it possible.

She may bear scars from a past she hardly remembered, but it would never stop her from living in the life she had now.

As a heads up, I had to disqualify Only_Sky for editing their form! For future reference, please just have your form ready to post before claiming a slot on a p-fcfs ;v;

Congrats dinah! w heeze @ me getting all these second opinions, but me and a judge landed on your form! This was very amusing to read, and the judge said they liked how there was an obvious consequence to getting too close to the twolegs :0c Looks like they paid the price though oof

Lmk name/gender/age/etc. as soon as possible<3
