Story:
Whiskey is a rather adventurous mare; or, rather, she was in her youth. Though she looks young now, this mare has lived a full life and has many a story to share with those willing to listen. Her favorite, though... her smile softens, her eyes grow distant, and her ears flick as she remembers a time where the love she found, before he faded to join those in the stars, was at her side without fail.
"We met under a dim moon, riverbanks flooding and making each step more marsh than grass. He wasn't a stallion many would find attractive, but his heart was large. Rain was about to break, and as soon as it did the winds would rise like a wolf, too. But he stayed with me, as I struggled through my first foaling; my herd stallion had fled when the first thunder cracked, but I couldn't keep up, you see. Heavy with twins, and my first offspring. The stars were not with me that summer." She told those gathered around her, a twinkle in her eye as looked to each in turn.
"After the storm, when light touched us, he helped my babes and I find a safe haven, and even after he kept us safe when summer rains would fall, when danger threatened us. And when my two were old enough to wander on their own, when they had left, we still stayed with another. He was rough looking, had a club foot and a scar in his lip, but his beauty wasn't what kept me with him."

Barn Name: Mary-Beth
Story:
Mary-Beth lost her mother when she was less than a year old due to a freak accident and had to grow up pretty quickly in order to survive, her father was not very good at looking after her so she never learned how to interact properly with other horses. She eventually ran away from her father and spent many years alone. Due to this she is a not the type to socialise and prefers to keep to herself to herself. She has become more and more introverted since the birth of her son, Cate, the father being a stray stallion. She is very protective of him because of her motherly nature. However she is finding it hard to raise the colt as she did not gain the skills needed to do so. Something which her mother would have taught her.
