favourite bird of prey (and why?): Melly’s favorite animals have always been bunnies and turkey vultures! She rescues both of them, infact. It might not seem like a great pair, but all of her creatures seem to get along. Her best friend is her turkey vulture, Precious. Despite their strange experience, Melly has always thought that they were quite adorable. How could someone not look at that little face and smile?

Precious is a special little vulture. Melly rescued her after she found her on the side of the road with a broken wing. How Melly managed to fix her up, no one’s quite sure, but during that time she discovered another problem that would prevent Precious from surviving in the wild— she was blind.

Since Vultures need good eyes to find their next meal, Precious wouldn’t be able to get along on her own. Now she lives a pampered, happy life with Melly and her bunny friends often wearing strange outfits and hiding under a polka-dot blanket.

Ahhh!! What a beauty!! :3

Harris's Hawk

Cinctus has always loved birds. How could he not, when he looks so alike to some of them? Well, he has the wings... and feathers... close enough, right? In the beginning, his favorite bird was the raven. But, once he learned of Harris's Hawks, he knew without a doubt that it was his new favorite. This is because- besides being without a doubt beautiful, as its wings fade from red to black- Harris's hawks are the only Bird of Prey which hunt in packs. Not only that- they share food, and even home together.

To little Cinctus, this sounds like an ideal. He has alwas felt a little different due to his color and his wings. Although his appearence might suggest otherwise, he is actually extremely loving and social- he constantly wants to be around others, and be helpful to them. He loves them, because they are beautiful, and although they don't know it, they live by the same phrase and principle he does.
