What are Khimaira Friesians?
Khimaira Friesians are a "normal" friesian breed with all characteristics of a friesian and a average height from 15 to 17 hands, but even 18 hands can occur. The first born Khimaira was mistaked for a chimera horse. But a genetic test showed otherwise, there wasn't a second DNA but a complete new and unknown gen. Because this gen makes the friesian look like a chimera it was named khimaira. khimaira doesn't produce a complete new dna coat and therefor it can only lighten or darken the base coat of the horse. Till now only the paint khimaira is known that makes the khimaira coloration looks like tobiano, overo, sabino or splash. But we believe that there will be more khimaira variations out there and we still try to breed them. Appaloosas are not known till now, but we have some great friesian mixed horses with appaloosa patterns, so we are sure to deliver them to you in a short amount of time.

when your horse has 3 different paint markings it must be quite a looker :3

oh how cute :3
there are two small white markings at the hind legs and some cleaner lines on belly and face so i would go for minimal tobiano
he has typical frame overo markings ^^
that he has white at the belly and face is normal for overo (and tobiano) too, it can meet the belly and it always covers part of the face but it very rarely meets back, chest and underside of neck
so I would say he is chestnut tovero :3

first i thought he would be just overo, but the tobiano markings are there, just very hard to see xD haven't seen the white hind legs first too, because foal legs are always so light
the tobiano markings can still be only overo markings too, if a marking is minimal it is very hard to tell what it is and if it really is what we think it is

are you starting to play with him? getting him used to humans and such :3
when you do remind yourself that a foal is always trying to dominate you because it is always the lowest rank in the herd and wants to go up, so don't allow him too much xD then he will grow into a nice, respectful horse :3
people tend to allow a foal everything it does because it's so sweet, but then the problems start when it grows up and you want to start training with him xD

He’s getting more and more used to people! I am still waiting for him to be weaned so he can be delivered to my farm (: I have pictures from the other day an he’s getting so big 😩😩 he does like his booty scratched lol.

he comes over to you barn? :3 do you have a youngster herd? Or how do you treat foals ? :3
our foals go into a herd with youngsters after weaned (if they are stallions, mares are allowed to stay by their mothers) and then when they are 3 years old they will come into the big herd with the adults at the barn (around 20-25 horses) and get their first training, they are like wild horses at that time xD but a little more used to humans, but they don't know halters or how to get lead :3 but they are very kind and well behaved because the adult horses show them how to behave
they get trained from the ground for some month and then they start with riding, until they are 5 years, then their normal training is finished, but you can raise the time for training to 2 more years so that they are fully trained when they go to their owner
I like that way ^^ letting horses be horses their first years. but i know that not everyone has the possibility to do this and when you buy a foal at a young age you want to visit it and cuddle it :3
