As her name suggests, Briar can be
prickly. It's not surprising, to most,
that Briar spends most her time
with clay in hand, quiet drumming
in the background, surrounded by
the plants and bees she looks after
on her own. She understands that
it's weird, but she gains enough
companionship from the vivid
blooms and salubrious leaves that
watch over her to bother with the
complexities and ugly nature of
the more mobile and fast-paced
type of life.

Her ideal day would start off
overcast, and after selling a few
bouquets to loyal customers, she
would retreat into her greenhouse
and create a pot for her newest
sprout. A soft shower would start
to pitter down onto the roof, the
light dimming to a soothing grey,
and she would patiently carve a
name with beautiful topography for
the recent addition to her home of
greenery, before finally moving to
pick up a certain white six-petaled
flower. She would sit outside on the
damp moss, and be held within the
petrichor, droplets rolling down her
cheeks and entangling her eyelashes,
and watch the Skeleton Flower trade
soft ivory petals for something more
pellucid, more akin to delicate glass
than anything organic.

Favourite flower: Bird Of Paradise
Why?: Rida has been interested in the bird of paradise since she was in a gardening group at school. They were planting some flowers for the school gate one morning when Rida picked up the Bird Of Paradise seed packet. She did not recognize the flower but was in charge of planting it, therefore she planted it. Later that night she researched all about the bird of paradise. She found it very interesting. As the plant grew up, she was there, by its side watering it every day until it sprouted a stunning flower, she felt very proud. Since that day, she has been planting them and selling them all around the country.
