Owner: Masterplan
Show name: The World is Watching
Barn name: Sun
Gender: Mare
Coat color: Palomino roan
Genes: ee/aa/Crcr/Rnrn
Height: Will be determined when grown
Personality: Ultimate sasslord. Loves to get her own way, and can be *very* bossy at times. Requires a firm hand, but not one that is rudely demanding. In which case, she will flat. Out. Refuse. And probably not move either, not even a centimetre. Other than that however, if you get along with her, she's a very willing worker who loves her job and to please. She is also very social, and loves to be in a herd setting, whether it be with mares or geldings, and gets lonely if left alone for periods of time. Through this, she can still be independent if necessary however.
Halter: Same as eyes with silver points
Prompt: A growing point in Sun's life was when she was separated from the other yearlings she had been with for her for so long. She was simply separated from them to begin her training, but she did not take kindly to this separation. After having other young horses to rely on and be with for the few months they were together, when she was put with new horses she become naughtly due to her wanting to be with the others again. This ended up as a huge growing point for Sun as that was when she realised that things always changed- and, as much as she hated it or didn't want it too, things were always going to change through her life that she wouldn't have control over- thus the phrase "life happens- whether you like it or not."

show name: Apple Sauce
barn name: Milly
gender: mare
coat color: palomino roan
genes: ee/aa/Crcr/Rnrn
height: will be determined when grown
personality: Shy and quiet, Milly is what you would call a very sensitive mare. She is very sweet and gentle with other animals, and could be described as motherly type, as she cares very much for others. But, she is easily spooked by loud noises and sudden movements, and fears most anything new or unfamiliar.
halter: Dark grey
prompt: A growing point in her life would be when she first met Clay, one of the stallions on the ranch. She was practically terrified of the stallion, as he was notorious for his temper, and was less that eager to meet him. However, upon meeting the brute, Milly found him to be gentle, to her at least. The two began to bond, and are now quite close, despite being so very different. With befriending Clay, she has gained a little more confidence, more so in curiosity than outgoingness.

Thank you so much, Nanorat, for giving us the opportunity to try for this beauty! <33

show name: Heart Shaped Box
barn name: Nirvana
gender: mare
coat color: palomino roan
genes: ee/aa/Crcr/Rnrn
height: will be determined when grown
personality:
With two hardworking parents with such great personalities, you'd love to think that a filly would turn out just as sweet, right? Unfortunately, Miss Nirvana here is a polar opposite of her parents. She needs to be pushed to work hard, handlers need to have the patience of saints, and she demands what she wants, as soon as she wants it. Of course, she'll be sweet and a dote when she thinks that it will benefit her (like when she'll get scratchies or treats), but when it comes to trying to get her to work, she'll be mulish and bratty with even her favourite handlers. She's a fireball who shows a great potential, but maybe needs to work on her direction and motivation...
halter: Pastel pink
prompt:
A growing point in her life came on the crushing, heartbreaking day that Nirvana realized that she cannot, no matter how much she protests, have everything happen to her demands.
She was a growing filly, getting taller and bolder with each passing day. Soon, she would be weaned from her mother, left to begin her training alone. But, of course, she was ignorant of that. As far as the filly knew, she and her mother would be together forever, her poor mother putting up with her hissy fits and episodes with patience, but inevitably giving in to her daughter's wishes.
Nirvana was the first to spot the humans approaching, contraption in-hand. The clever filly recognized it immediately - it was the thing that they put over their noses and behind their ears, the things they used to pull them along. "Haw-ters"... Yeah, that was it. Well, today, Nirvana wasn't going to go quietly.
Pinning her pale ears to her mane, the filly raised her tail and turned her rear to the door, lowering her head into the back corner with her eyes screwed shut. Her short tail lashed against her sides, shifting her back legs as though she were getting ready to lash out. She had learned quick enough not to kick or bite the humans the same way she would with her mother - if she tried, the humans punished her, and that wasn't fun. But her little show, she was sure, was enough to at least delay whatever plans they had.
She heard them enter, their heavy, clumsy footsteps shuffling the bedding. There were snippets of conversation that she caught, although she couldn't fully understand - "little brat... separation... do her good..."
Alright, that was enough. Squealing once, the filly kicked up her rear, bouncing her hind legs in a filly-ish attempt at an intimidating buck. As her fit ended, she heard the latch on the stall door click shut, and she raised her head with pride - she had done it, she had frightened them off! Turning to tug her mother's mane, to show her that she was the boss, the filly froze, legs locking beneath her and ears falling to the sides in pure horror.
Her mother was gone.
A terrified squeal couldn't even rise itself from her maw as she gaped at the empty stall, before bounding to the door, stretching as far as she could to see over the half-door. And, sure enough, she spotted her mother's roan rump disappearing around the corner. Outraged and more than a little afraid, the filly called out, her small lungs pumping out a call as loud as she could, but to no avail.
Why wasn't her mother coming back?! She wanted her to, so where was she?! She called out a number of other times, but her mother wasn't even answering, never mind returning... How dare she?! Kicking out with a front leg in frustration, her hoof made contact with the stall door. The clanging of the wood against the hinges spooked her at first, but then an idea blossomed, and so the filly kicked again, then kept kicking, and kicking, and kicking. This noise would bring her mother back, she was sure of it.
Every so often, the filly would stretch out over the stall door again, but when she didn't see mother coming racing down the aisle to get back to her, she would resume her kicking. It took what felt like hours, but was probably no more than a few moments, for the filly to realize that the kicking didn't work. Okay, this didn't work... Maybe she could get over the door? Rearing shakily onto her hind legs, the filly pressed her knees up against the wooden door, but she barely reached the top of the door. There was no hope of climbing over it. Backing up, the filly eyed up the door - Mother and Father were jumpers, the humans said so, so she must be too! A bounding stride took her to the door, and she pushed off with her hind legs in what would have been a fantastic takeoff... If she wasn't still a foal. Banging herself into the wooden panels, the filly crumpled to the ground in a bundle of nothing but legs and neck. Her knees smarted, and other than a bruised ego, she was unharmed.
Sighing, the filly looked out of the stall once again, her green eyes scanning the empty aisle before turning back into the stall in defeat. Mother wasn't coming back, and no matter what she did, she couldn't make her come. Nose almost to the bedding, Nirvana moped over to a corner, folding her legs beneath her and resting her muzzle on the soft ground. Perhaps a nap would solve her problems...
A noise jolted the filly back to reality, and, with an excited squeal, the filly rose to meet her mother, who sighed at the sight of her excited daughter. The human with her laughed, undoing the halter.
"I think you needed the break, my girl..." he said, giving the mare a pat on the neck as she obediently entered the stall. Nirvana longed to rear up against her mother's shoulder, to give her mane a tug and her neck a nip as punishment for leaving, but instead, she just moved to suckle, short tail wagging as she reveled in just having her mother back once again.
Okay, miiiiight have gotten carried away with that story >.> cx
