    Username: chemical.
    Show Name: Valos Atredum
    Barn Name: Salroka
    Gender: Gelding
    Height: 19.2 hh

    Sire: Magic Clay
    Dam: Dancing Fire

    Phenotype: Chestnut Sabino
Genotype: ee | aa | Sbsb
Eye Color: Knowledge of the Tribespeople
    Breeding Notes:
    • All Golems are sterile! They can produce no offspring.

Seven lumps of magic clay, dancing flames on which they lay.
Shamans magic infused by night, the witching hour called under blight.
Fading earth and folk of bone, cries that lifted to an ignored throne.
Life arose with power and might, summoned forth to cease the blight...

The Myth Golem was summoned to keep record of all that occurred during the blight and of the people.. The Shaman who summoned him was a firm believer that for people long after to avoid the spreading disease, they must know what it is, how all who succumb fall prey, and whether the people of his time thrives afterward or not..

    To win the Myth Golem’s favor, you must do the following;
    • Name him appropriately.
    • Write or draw about his first summoning by his shaman many years ••ago. Minimum of 150 words if written.
    • One optional piece of work is permitted; any medium.

The Myth Golem will allow anyone to ask for his favor!
    Anyone may enter for him.
These drafts may not be bred! They were not born, they were created from clay and fire by Shaman centuries ago, and have since wandered their summoning grounds since the summoners tethered them to the earth.
The era of this theme is more akin to the Stone Age through the Iron Age! This means metals were just being used, agriculture was recently birthed, hunting was a way of life for the people, etc etc. Keep to this theme, please!

Username: Honeymoo
Show Name: GSS The Power Of Socrates
Barn Name: Thanatos
First Summons:

Heat. The chanting of a low but coherent voice before the shrill of others joining in as he rose from the flames, thats all he could interpret before all knowledge flooded into him as he took his first mortal breath, he snorted and opened his deep blue eyes. Surrounding him a group of tribes people, six other shamans and six other golems raised to do their bidding. He stepped forward and lowered his head to the shaman who had summoned him, touching his muzzle into his open palm. A thought transmitting from his mind to the humans "I am here. I am ready. I am yours."

The sudden silence of the tribe and the shock and relief of the shaman seemed to last a lifetime before anything else happened.
"Oh great Thanatos, Golem of Myth, we welcome your presence, we summon you to help us with your eternal knowledge for we wish to learn what has stricken us and for the people of the future to know of our plight and how to avoid it."
Thanatos listened carefully and glanced to the other golems who were communicating to their shamans. He gave a simple nod to the man and as he did so the tribe roared back to life, their cheers and howls piercing the night. The flames dancing with them.

xxxIt hung so heavy over the tribe, the fear, that it seemed almost its own entity. The earth itself gave the impression of dread, for the wind and rain came to a halt, creatures so familiar all but disappeared; the land practically vibrating with suspense. And all was quiet, still, the silence so loud it was nigh unbearable. There was not a single tribesmen who lacked a disquieted air. None knew what should be done, and all remained hushed, as though the absence of sound would keep the blight from rolling over their home like a storm, pitching everything into darkness. Or, perhaps, it was just the palpable uncertainty that kept lips so tightly shut, movements so wary; there's no saying, after all, how an energy so intense would affect the minds of the people. They remained as such for quite some time, living in an unbearable fear, putting themselves to bed each night with silent sobs and pleas for a savior. Nobody could tell you how long they spent in this state, how many days faded into nights without a change. What is recalled, however, is the night they heard it; it started out soft, as muffled murmurs, but after so long this slight sound was enough to rouse every last member of the tribe, and bring them sneaking cautiously out to investigate.
    xxxThe moon was bright and plump that night, casting an eerie light over their humble village. Men and women all gathered around, huddled together, with terrified children tucked in between, to witness what the elder shaman has devised in secret. Symbols, many unrecognizable and ancient, were chalked and carved and scorched into the earth. The familiar, calming face of their shaman was brightly illuminated by the torch clutched so tightly in his palm that his knuckles were pale enough to rival the moon. The tribe watched on, mesmerized, as his voice grew louder and louder still as he danced with arms raised high around a lump of soft blue clay that seemed to react to his every word. Just as his chant reached its peak, the shaman fell completely silent. He looked up to his tribe, milky gaze rolling over each and every face, before he threw down his torch. A wall of intense flame burst from the ground, engulfing the clay in mere seconds. The shaman turned his face to the moon as the heat curled against his skin, eyes pinched shut and indistinguishable murmurs falling rapidly from his tongue. The blaze reached for the sky, before vanishing into ash and smoke as the shaman threw his palms to the stars. Before him stood a magnificent beast, its body quivering with anticipation, eyes like molten stone as it stared fiercely towards the man who had brought him to this earth. Slowly, the shaman lowered his arms, then his head, and peeled open his eyes to gaze upon his creation. He stepped forward, arms outstretched, and cupped the beasts’ muzzle between his rough hands. Staring deep into the golems’ fiery eyes, he murmured to the creature;
xxx“We are past healing, but you, friend, can save the future.” The golem lowered his great head, breath hot as the flame that shaped him against the shamans face. He remained as such for many moments before cutting his powerful stare over the gathered tribesmen, standing in shock and enchantment. Now bound to this earth, he knew his task.

“Are we really doing this?” Drustan asked peering into the flames. Blight had made them
desperate. People they cared about were dying and all the traditional ways of keeping it at bay were
failing. Caiside hummed next to him thoughtfully, his green eyes lost in thought. “I don’t know if this
is a good idea. What if it doesn’t work?” he crossed his arms over his chest.

“It’ll work,” Caiside replied calmly. Drustan studied him. He knew that Caiside was trying to comfort
him. He didn’t have the heart to tell his brother that he could see worry written all over his face.
This was a risky move on two accounts. It might not work. Or it could and it backfire in their faces.
He knew Caiside was stressing over the decision. We don’t have to do it, he wanted to say, but he
knew that his brother's mind was made up.

“Caiside?” Drustan called bringing Caiside back to the present. He hoped this was the right move.

“It’ll be ok, Drustan. It’ll work. Three of us are trying.” Drustan didn’t look convinced but returned
the smile. Quietly Caiside got up and went over to one of the piles of clay. “Let's get started.”

Together they created two forms. Drustan’s was proud and strong with an arching neck, curious face,
lithe legs and sturdy build. Glancing at Caiside who nodded reassurance they put their creations into
the fire.

The fire flared brightly and Caiside jumped back shielding Drustan. Blinking away the brightness and
peering around his brother Drustan gasp. Their campsite had gone icy cold. The fire was extinguished.
The charred wood cover in frost. In place of their clay creations were two drafts: a blood-red mare
and a copper stallion.

He noticed that Caiside was immediately drawn to the mare, but Drustan found the copper and white
stallion to be the most beautiful thing he’d ever seen. Azure eyes met him sky blue ones as he
approached the stallion. They were intelligent eyes, curious and warm. They seemed to hold knowledge
in them. “Will you help us?” Drustan asked as he offered his hand to the stallion. Pricking his ears
forward the stallion nickered and sniffed the hand before eyeing his companion. She had approached
Caiside but suddenly turned and trotted off.

Drustan winced. He figured the stallion would take off after her but he merely stood there giving at him
a questioning look. Turning to Caiside he shrugged his shoulder “I guess he stays with us?”

They didn’t see the mare after that, though her presence was known. The frost was harsh. It took a lot
of careful planning to get the tribe prepared for the early winter conditions. Drustan worked hard but
had the stallion as a constant shadow. When they had returned to the tribe many had wondered where
they had gotten such a steed. It was eerie how the stallion observed everything, Drustan thought, but
he enjoyed the company.

The only time he wasn’t there seemed to be at night. Once everyone had settled in the stallion would
take off. Drustan figured this was to go in search of the mare. He felt bad that she had decided to not
return. He could see Caiside studying his stallion from afar and though never unkind about it Drustan
knew he wondered where his creation had fled.

One night he decided to follow the stallion to see where he went. Maybe he could find the blood red
mare. But the stallion didn’t go to her. Instead, he crossed into the charred landscape around Morcant’s
tribe. Drustan’s eyes widened at the sight of a ghostly mare who approached his stallion. Her eyes
glowed and embers sparked at her feet. It had to be Morcant’s fire golem. The two horses regarded
each other briefly before the mare gave the stallion a playful nip and turned away to leave. The stallion,
in turn, flicked his ear back into Drustan’s direction and turned giving him a knowing look before
turning and heading back home.

“Whats wrong?” Caiside asked over as they started on work for the day. Drustan shrugged and gave him a
half smile, “Nothing?” Caiside stopped and crossed his arms raising an eyebrow.

“Alright. Well, your mare is the golem of ice and Morcant's is the golem of fire, right?” he started and
waited until Caiside nodded and waved him onward. “So… mine would be… what.. the golem of knowledge?”
he scratched the back of his head and looked at the stallion unsure.

Caiside tilted his head “you made him, shouldn’t you know what you made?” Which wasn’t wrong. He
had created him but this wasn’t quite how he thought the stallion would have been. “All he’s done is
observe.” Drustan sighed “I don’t know what I expected but… it wasn’t this?”

Caiside rolled his eyes and ruffled his brother's hair. “You chose the myth golem. They're lore-keepers.
What did you expect? At least you’ll have company” he grinned. “So… you should probably name him.”

Drustan ducked and shoved Caiside “Hey! Quit it!” he grumbled but looked at his stallion thoughtfully.

“A lore keeper? I guess I'll call you Runar.” {Caiside's Story}
