What are Khimaira Friesians?
Khimaira Friesians are a "normal" friesian breed with all characteristics of a friesian and a average height from 15 to 17 hands, but even 18 hands can occur. The first born Khimaira was mistaked for a chimera horse. But a genetic test showed otherwise, there wasn't a second DNA but a complete new and unknown gen. Because this gen makes the friesian look like a chimera it was named khimaira. khimaira doesn't produce a complete new dna coat and therefor it can only lighten or darken the base coat of the horse. Till now only the paint khimaira is known that makes the khimaira coloration looks like tobiano, overo, sabino or splash. But we believe that there will be more khimaira variations out there and we still try to breed them. Appaloosas are not known till now, but we have some great friesian mixed horses with appaloosa patterns, so we are sure to deliver them to you in a short amount of time.

Story: Greyscale was born in a relatively modern barn. His owners were kind to him, and made sure he was well fed. As a young colt, he bounced around and played with the other foals. But the other foals always made fun of him for his bright coat. Greyscale became sad because no one liked him for what he looked like. One day, while he was grazing alone, the farm border collie walked up to him. At the time, the dog was a puppy. "Why are you alone?" the dog asked. Greyscale looked up sadly. "No one likes my coat color..." he pouted. The dog tilted his head. "Well I think it looks spooky and cool! I'm Dodger by the way," the dog piped. Greyscale was astonished that someone was being nice to him. Then he looked at Dodger more, and noticed something. Dodger seemed to notice, and ducked his head. "I guess we both have things that make us stand out, huh?" he whimpered softly. Greyscale put his nose down and nuzzled the puppy. "Let's be friends?" he asked. Dodger nodded. The little colt looked back into Dodger's eyes. "Did the other puppies make fun of you, too?" he asked. The dog nodded. "Just because I have two different eye colors doesn't mean I should be bullied..." he whined.
Every day after that, the dog and horse were best friends. As both grew older, they went to horse shows together, with Dodger cheering Greyscale on from the rails. They are still best friends to this day.
