Though one day when he was feeling particularly well, he saw another foal getting picked on and decided that he was going to stand up for the other foal. As he backed down the older colts, and even chased them off, he returned to the foal he saved. The younger colt saw him as a hero, and they became fast friends. Beau and his best friend were soon batman and robin, and his signature bow-tie became the symbol for their cause of good.
