For a split second Monte was all hooves and leg, as he righted himself he found he was nose to nose with a the only mare who could surpass the beauty of the field of lillies. She stood there, nostrils flared, and he was instantly in love. He quickly scraped a gallant bow to her in hopes to calm the fire that was in her eyes. As he was bowing, he daintily nipped up a fragile pink lilly and presented it to her. The fire in her eyes slowly calmed to a burning ember as she accepted the flower from him. That was the beginning of their courtship. Monte always hoped that the fiery spirit that he first met that day would never fade from her, for that was the thing he loved most about his lovely mate.
