Why this name: the common sedge is a fairly populous perennial plant that grows in wetlands and marshes in europe. sedgestorm is close to nature and respects the different lives around him: that being from the prey he eats, to even the plants they pass by. sedgestorm received the prefix storm as storms would are one of the most powerful and terrifying aspect of nature, constantly changing and unfixed in form, dark, loud, intimidating. but after storms comes new growth, encouraged by rain and that is what he brings to her clan. with ever-lasting patience, he pushes warriors and apprentices alike to achieve their true potential and grow as he no is able to do such things. however like a storm, he can still be dangerous.

burnt - something is wrong with his soul. he doesn't talk about his past; it's like some part of it was singed away with him. he is burning, always burning with anger, with hatred, with rage. he wouldn't tell the clan his name when he arrived. when naming him a part of her clan, blazestar couldn't ignore the heap of kindling before her, the spent pile of coal, the burnt cat living before her eyes.
eyes - despite his shortcomings, there is something hiding behind his eyes. although he is burnt, he is alive, there is a spark of light behind his bright eyes, a creature desperately longing to get out that is held back by the dying flames. blazestar saw through him, saw into his raging heart, his broken soul. she saw the potential that is sitting there behind those burning flames, behind his guarded eyes, and she knows one day his eyes will set him free. hence, she called him burnteyes, for all that he was, and all that he one day could be.

Dust was his name as a circus cat - he lived among the tents with his friends, and they called him dust for the endless dirt in his fur that never seemed to come out. He could wash his fur for ages and it would still be there - indeed, that's a trait that he carries to this day.
. When he, Dusk, and Beaver came across FrontierClan, he chose to give himself the name Dustedmoon - for he had always loved the bright object in the sky and wanted to be named after the moon he adored so much.

Why this name:
steam partially got his name from his affinity for water. he's the best swimmer in the clan and is known to love the foggy nights on the river.
he mainly got it from a deed he did for the clan, knowing to use the river to escape a forest fire caused by a lightning strike. he leed his clan members to safety in a hidden pool just under the wall overhanging the river where an air pocket had formed within the rock. he waited until every cat was in the river before joining himself but before he could a firey dead fall fell into the water, separating him from his clan members. they say he was wrapped in steam when he climbed bravely over the tree where it had lodged in the river to rejoin them.

Why this name: His mother named him Beetlepaw because a little bit after he was born, a beetle landed on his nose and he sneezed. She kinda of hopes that he's named Beetlesneeze just as a small little joke. (April fools why not am i right?)
