Name Meaning: Belobog is the Slavic deity of light and then sun.

Personality: Belobog is a peacekeeper, a sage of wisdom and a mind that lacks pride but tends to be secretive regardless; he shares willingly if asked, holds no hesitation in saying what is on his mind in a way that almost always comes across as helpful and kind. But he holds secrets within his heart, dark and deep and messy that show through in Belobog’s preference to remain sequestered from others. He is quiet, but determined; soft, but not to be swayed easily by others; kind within his very soul, but skilled enough to strike out when necessary. But his heart is rarely put into much else aside from the search for his brother, and to most he appears mortise, disheartened. But Belobog does not let such feelings overwhelm him when in the presence of others; first and foremost he would prefer to lend aid, to ease the troubles within another even if he must bear them thereafter. Belobog does not hold tight to anger, which makes him a personality that is easy to get along with, but neither does he hold tight to Love aside from the kinship he has for his brother; he has no desire to make long term connections, but he is gentle in his letdowns unto others, in words and in posture.

Belobog was born in this bright, but arid place; was raised under the harsh sun and the cold nights. He ran with his brother across the red sand, climbed plateaus and leaped over brush and rocks with him. Since the fallout with his brother Belobog has not gone back to his home. He fears, should their mother still live, what she may think of him, of his decisions and of the harsh lessons he has had to learn. He tells himself one day, he’ll see the tree under which he slept with his brother, but not until he’s able to mend what was broken.

An old dingo, slow to get up in the morning and succumbing to the earths cycles, is who Belobog spends much of his time with each day. He doesn’t speak, and whether it is because he cannot or because he chooses Belobog neither asks nor cares; they are quiet companions to one another, and where one walks the other follows. At times, the dingo can be seen atop Belobog’s back as the stallion carefully and slowly heads in one direction or another.
How the became friends: Belobog stumbled upon the other male both by accident and purposefully; purposefully in the fact that he was headed for where the dingo had fallen, but it was an accident that had Belobog trip up a rocky hill and be forced to look to his right, where birds were circling eagerly, some squabbling besr the ground. Waiting for the dingo to give up its life. Taking pity on the dingo, so far from where he had come from, Belobog chased the birds off and got the other to his feet. They both give each other shelter when it’s needed; whether by the dingos scent keeping smaller predators at bay, or Belobog’s swifter legs when they need to escape danger. But they both offer warmth to the other at night, always; Belobog knows he doesn’t need to lay and rest as the moon rises, but he does for the dingo’s sake, even catches small prey animals unaware for the aging male when his bones are too weary to move him fast enough; Time is reaching an end for the dingo, and if any lesson was ingrained into the stallion it was that no one should pass to their gods alone.
Rival: Chernobog, his younger brother.
How they became rivals: It was unintentional, but for the better Belobog had once thought; had he known his borther would become something so foul and dark, made of a malevolence that Belobog has never seen in another... well, he wouldn’t have destroyed his brothers life so cruelly. They were younger then, filled with youthful pride and lessons hard ignored by those who sought to teach them. Able to be manipulated, to be moved like leaves in the wind. And Belobog, while well-meaning, betrayed his brother; their father, now dead, had been intent on barganaing the younger stallion for another, someone who was his better in every way. And so Belobog drove his brother on, spurred him to better himself if only to see him stay within their unit until he was able to wander on his own in time, to protect himself from those like their father. But instead, in anger over an argument between he and their father, Belobog struck out and put an end to the miserable stallion. Cherbobog was a fathers son, he worshipped the experienced warlord of a horse, and he did not know of the plot to shun him. He took the slaying personally, deeply hurt and not understanding why, made claims about his brother that were untrue.

And Belobog did nothing to stop him, said nothing to make him see reason.

The brothers have clashed at times since then, hatred from the younger and a want for blood, whereas Belobog wishes to reconcile when his brothers heart has softened. He follows the destructive path his brother leaves behind sometimes, other times he makes his own and hopes they may change upon each other without rage clouding Chernobog’s heart. But each meeting has resulted in the same so far, leaving Belobog to only hope that next time will be the right time.

Name Meaning: Shadowcall has always been a child of the night. He doesn't prefer the daytime, and has teasingly been called a vampire by several of his friends. He is always found residing under the shade of a tree or the shadow of another horse.
Gender: Stallion
Personality: Shadowcall, though a seemingly brooding and dark horse, is actually a giant teddy bear. He is sweet and kind in every manner of life, and cares deeply for everyone around him. He can, however, be directing and in control when absolutely necessary, and takes care of problems quickly and decisively. Shadowcall is very empathetic, and can easily step into the hooves of another horse to feel what they feel and understand the problem. In fact, Shadowcall has also been called the herd therapist for his great people skills and easy to get a long with personality. And, of course, his almost totally fail proof plans. There was on time his plan didn't work, and, well, we just won't speak of that...
Still Shadowcall has his downfalls like any horse, and happens to have a problem getting along with more... hotheaded herd members. He can almost never relate to any member of the herd who poses a difficult personality and only spurs the fire in their blood more. Shadowcall can be over emotional, which gets under many horses skins, and over dramatic.
Still, everyone loves Shadowcall.
Favorite Place: His favorite place, or places, are under shadows or in the shade. He prefers the shade of a tree on a warm day. This gives him satisfaction and happiness.

How the became friends: Spirit and Shadowcall became friends because of their compatible personalities, and, as Spirit mentions, their zodiacs...
Anyway, they get along exceedingly well because of their emotional personalities and understanding of the other. They just get each other... it's actually quite hard to explain. Still, picture the two horses that are friends, and nobody knows why, but they just work so well together, and that's Spirit and Shadowcall. (AKA The Double S, S Squared, SoS.)
Rival: Setlin
How they became rivals: Again, personalities. Of course, it didn't help that Setlin didn't like Shadowcall from the beginning. Remember earlier we mentioned how Shadowcall doesn't get difficult horses? Well, Setlin is that difficult horse. Honestly, Setlin couldn't care less, which only make Shadowcall more annoyed, but Setlin has no problem with Shadowcall. Well, he wouldn't if Shadowcall hadn't found a way to burrow under his skin in 10 seconds flat. Honestly, things just kinda... escalated.
