[Starring Gaaster and Flick]

Dino walked anxiously around the grocery store. He really wanted to spoil his friend,
Gaaster, with the absolute best christmas present ever! About 30 dollars in coins
clinked inside the sack he carried, and, boy, was it heavy. There were tons of
older viscets around. Most of which he'd bumped into already multiple times.

I should hurry.
He's gonna start wondering where I
am! He'll never trust me again!
I should just scrap this whole
present idea and go ho-

"Ahh!" Dino exclaimed as he tripped over the tail of a blue and pink viscet,
his money sack flying out his paws, and spilling on the floor.
"Oh crap!" He yelped. The viscet he'd tripped over the tail of cupped her
paw over her mouth and started laughing. Dino folded his ears back,
ashamed. "Oh, s-sorry! I just didn't expect such language from a child!"
She continued to giggle as she helped him pick up the coins.

That's odd..
I'm not used to others -- apart from Gaaster
helping me clean up my messes... especially
in public!

"I'm Flick." the viscet said, stroking Dino's mane after picking
up the last coin.

Where have I heard that name before..?

He didn't respond until she added "Don't worry,
I won't visc-nap you or anything." He smiled in return.
"I'm Daniel -- but please, call me Dino!"
"Dino, huh?" Flick said "I think I've heard someone tell me about you."
he looked at her, his face brightened up. "D-do you know Gaaster?"
he spoke. Her face brightened up as well. "Gaaster? Two 'A's?"
she asked, and he nodded. "He's practically my big brother!
I'm trying to get the best christmas present ever for him!"
At this point, they'd been walking down some more isles
in the store.
"I know what you could get him!" Flick responded.
"Really?"
"Come with me!"

I hope she knows what she's doing!

After a bit, they were in what looked like a gardening isle.
Flick picked up a bag of bird seed, and showed it to Dino.
"This is the best kind for attracting pigeons!" she said.
"I bet he'd love that! But.. it's not really the best gift ever"

Flick proceeded to bring Dino to another isle. This one full of
gigantic plushies. She walked over to a large bird plushie,
and pointed at it. "How about this?" she asked.
"Maybe... But it's still not special enough!" Dino responded.
"Hmmm.."

After another half hour of searching, Dino still hadn't decided
what to get for Gaaster.
Until...

"I've got it!" Dino exclaimed out of nowhere. "Let's make something
for him together, Flick!"
"Of course! If we put it together ourselves, it will be full of TLC!" she responded.

They went on shopping for supplies, and found everything
The finished project was a collage,
pictures of Flick, Dino and Gaaster, surrounded with decorative pigeon feathers.

Gaaster was thrilled with the gift, and hung it on his wall above a fireplace.

Silvero has seen many Christmas nights come and go, but there is only one he remembers.

It was Christmas Eve. Late night shoppers and homesick workers scrambled across the sloppy sidewalk as the snow fell softly around them. It was a white Christmas this year. Not that like that meant anything to Silvero. Christmas meant nothing to the young Viscet except another chill to keep out at night. He went on his way quietly, keeping to the long shadows cast by the decorated streetlamps street

- and the two walked away together, side by side, while the Christmas snow fell to the earth.
