Relationship with Hirotomi and Ikarus: When it comes to his fathers, Kuroi is admittedly far closer to the lovable Tomi than the quieter Ika. He loves being able to roughhouse and tumble with his smaller, brightly colored father and can pick up a conversation with Tomi far faster than Ika (the two will go on to talk about everything and anything under the sun) but with his gentle father, Ika, Kuroi cherishes the quiet moments he can spend with the caring husky. Though there are moments where the two are unable to see eye to eye, Kuroi still adores Ika for his unerring and steadfast nature.
Relationship with Jessii: Though Kuroi looks up to his sister for her intelligence, he's never been as close to her as she has been of Haruna. In the beginning, this inspired jealousy between the two (jealousy that Jessii inevitably won over) but age matured the two into reliable friends. Kuroi knows he can count on Jessii as a sister and littermate, and he's grateful for the support she gives to him. But, beyond that his favorite activity to do with her has always been to pull pranks on Haruna and their fathers. It's always been a source of more than a few good laughs.
Relationship with Haruna: Though he's always been able to playfight with his brother far easier than with his sister, Kuroi has always felt a little bit like the odd man out in his litter. Though Kuroi can count on Haruna having his back when it counts, he knows that his brother's first choice will always be Jessii. It admittedly saddens him at times, especially when Kuroi found himself playing alone before being adopted, but Haruna has always been cognizant of Kuroi's moods. Though not the closest of brothers, Haruna never passes up the chance to lift his brother's spirits, and Kuroi pretty much always finds himself receptive to his brother's well-meaning invitations to play.
