The timer in the kitchen clicked before screeching, alerting all within earshot that it was time to decorate the eggs, causing Midori's ears to flick excitedly. Spring was always the best. The flowers were in full bloom, birds were returning from their yearly flight's south, and, most importantly, it was Easter time again! While he never really cared much for the bunnies or the fancy clothes, Midori was always in the mood for some Easter candy. Each year, he'd stockpile as many Peeps, Cadbury Eggs, and any other fun shaped candies that were being sold at that time of year. Chocolate never quite agreed with him, typically leaving him with a stomach ache for a day or two, but the sweet, soft, and gooey marshmallow Peeps...they were always first on his list on candy to buy and he'd always buy out the stores post Easter when everything was on sale. Other seasons have their Peeps, sure, but Midori would always argue that Easter Peep just simply taste the best.

the subtle drumming of the rain as it endlessly thrums against the newly blossomed flowers greets eager ears. it's that time of year again, isn't it? the skies blessing the earth with a tidal wave of rain, drowning out the outside world and leaving beautiful life behind in it's wake. it's times like these that atwell lives for, as spring brings new life and as such, new flowers. his favorite field is a field of perennials that stand tall and proud. they start off small, but when the first spring of rain falls, that's when they really spring to life.

his favorite part of all of this is standing out in the rain, letting the steady rainfall heavy his coat as he feels at one with nature, letting the drumming of the rain match the beating of his heart. in the flower fields, he can become one with nature and truly revel in the beauty of the world around him.
