    name;; Amatus [ latin for "beloved" ]
    gender;; Stallion
    realization that their coat is different;;
      Amatus hadn't been with his human for very long - only a day or so - before he was introduced to the rest of the herd. Twelve others of his kind in a family so tight-knit he wasn't sure he'd ever find his place in it. It didn't help that they all gawked at him as soon as he came into sight, making him shrink under the peering. He wasn't the bravest chrys, not by a long shot, especially as alone as he was.

      The herd stood like that for a few moments, and Ama began to feel like they'd never accept him, like he'd always be an outsider. That was, until one of them stepped forward - a handsome perlino with a teal tail and a marking like a skull adorning his nose. As the stallion grew closer, Amatus noticed a soft glow begin to reflect in his eyes and off his coat. He didn't have time to be curious, though, as the rest of the group followed suit and surrounded him with murmurs of awe.

      "Ah, h-hello?" He chirruped, ears slicking backwards nervously as numerous velvet noses tickled his coat.

      The perlino seemed to shake out of his amazement, eyes lighting up with kindness. "Excuse me, I'm sorry if we frightened you. I'm Kasimir, and this is my herd. We didn't mean to stare - we've never seen anything quite as beautiful as you, if I may be frank."

      "I'm... n-n-not sure what you mean?" The compliment only made Ama shrink more.

      "Your coat is quite literally glowing!" Kasimir trilled, and Amatus tilted his head in confusion. Of course he was glowing - his mother and father and siblings were the same! Wasn't it normal? Though, as he craned his neck to look at the others of the herd, he noticed that no, none of them were like him, even in the slightest.

      It turned out that his difference wasn't a bad thing; the awe soon faded as the herd - his herd - grew accustomed to his brilliant coat, and he felt at home within this new family.

realization that their coat is different;;
Bellissimo realized it when he was young.
Every night he would notice a soft glow near him. He was confused and wanted to know if he really was glowing.
So, one night he went to a river and looked at his reflection. He saw himself standing there, glowing!
His eyes widened with shock and excitement.
"I glow! I really do glow!" he thought.
After a few minutes of looking at all of his body in the river reflection, he was satisfied.
He trotted happily back home and went to sleep peacefully, knowing that he was a special horse.

    name;; Werid
    gender;; Stallion
    realization that their coat is different;; Why do those two keep looking at me like that? Werid thought to himself. He was no different than they were. The one looked to be a tovero just the same as himself, yet the looks the pair was giving him made him uneasy.
    He wasn't sure if he should approach them about their stares, or let it continue, but a part of him knew if he just let it continue without an explanation it would drive him nuts. Snorting and pawing at the ground, the stallion trotted up to the mare and stallion watching him and snorted loudly in their face. He was sure to hold his head high above them to make himself appear bigger to the others.
    "What are you two staring at?" Weird demanded.
    The bay tovero mare glanced at her chocolate palomino counterm part with a raise brow, encouraging him to explain over her. To the mare's relief, the other stallion seemed to have taken the hint.
    "Well," he started, "You seem to be.. glowing?"
    "Glowing? As in healthy?" Werid laughed, "No one stares at someone because they have a glowing complexion, that's stupid."
    "Stupid or not, your fur seems to actually be glowing." The mare snorted, now seemingly irritated.
    The chocolate palomino looked at his friend and nudged her, "Settle, Sovahdin. He probably doesn't know. Let's take him down to the river. It's dark enough that if he seems his reflection, he might realize." The stallion turned to Werid with a quizzical look, "Have you never noticed a soft white glow around you at night?"
    As he recalled, he always had, but he just assumed every chry had that same white glow at night. "I suppose I have. Don't the two of you?"
    "No, no!" Sovahdin stated, "Not once have I ever. Come, let's follow Kroniidsetiid to the river so you can see for yourself. It's quite brilliant."
    "Oh.. ok?" The grullo stallion trotted after the two other chrysaoras, curiosity now surging through his veins. Did he really glow?
    How long has it been? How did he only now just notice that his coat was different than that of the horses and horse-like creatures around him? They must think he was stupid now for not have knowing.
    "Ok, look." Kroniid stated, pointing his nose to the river as he and Sovahdiin stood back.
    Nodding, Werid took a step forward, his eyes fixed on the river. As he neared the river's edge, he could already see a sparkle reflecting back at him in the water, and when he looked in, he noticed that any spot of white on his body was emitted a subtle glow. "By the gods, you're right."
    He turned around to view the other chrysaora's and offered a small smile, "I'm really sorry for having caused any trouble just earlier."
    "It's nothing!" Kroniid exclaimed, "We figured you had no idea with the way you kept giving us odd looks for staring."
    "We do apologize for staring though! We know it's impolite, but it was so different and enchanting that we couldn't seem to help ourselves." Sovahdin apologize with sheepish grin.
    "No apology needed, I completely understand now, I'd be in awe as well if I saw something like this!"

realization that their coat is different;; As a young foal, I always felt a little different because I was always the first to be found in hide and go seek no matter how hard I tried to hide and when I would go to sleep, there was always a dim light that surrounded me. During night time, it was always a little brighter around me than it was around others. I finally realized that I was the one glowing and I loved this talent I had because it made me feel so special. When my friends were afraid of the dark, they would surround me to see better. The others never treated me less than and to be honest, my friends thought my glow was so cool and that is how I got friends and became social. My parents had never seen anything like me before and no other Chry had ever glowed so at first, when we realized this, my parents thought something was wrong with me so we asked around and I was observed for a long time by the elders until we realized that I was completely healthy. When I was captured along with my herd, the humans observed me for a long time and would poke at me and test me. I still to this day am closely watched by humans but it doesn't bother me as much because they're just jealous of my talent.
