Desdemona is very thoughtful & endearing. She is c
onsidered by many to have a "mom" personality. Do
n't misinterpret it, though. She still has a fun & pla
yful side to her. She's quite a prankster when she's
around those she considers close. She has a small
friend group, which she prefers. To Dessie, her fr
iends are her family & they are the most importa
nt to her. She would go to the ends of the earth t
o make them happy. For a long time she struggled
with depression & anxiety, but her friends have re
ally helped her to cope. She also finds a release in
music along with spending lovely autumn days out
doors in the cool breeze. She was named after De
sdemona, Othello's wife in Shakespeare's play Oth

overcome it. So she's triumphant despite the fore

ans were creatures to be avoided at all cost. Sh
e was taught never to interact with them. But t
hen she was caught. Her life had never been an
easy one. Fending for yourself out in the elemen
ts isn't the best way to live. Dessie survived sev
eral dangerous encounters, and she'd experienc
ed unspeakable trials. But when she was caugh
t, Desdemona experienced a sense of relief. S
he no longer had to sleep with one eye open o
r wonder if tomorrow was going to be there. S
he for once felt calm. But that didn't mean she
was gonna let any human get anywhere near h
er. Dessie watched as the other wild Tez's were
tamed one by one. Several humans tried to co
ax her out of the stall, but she refused. Until
one came along that did something different.
She didn't try to coax or bribe Desdemona in
any way. She sat calmly with her & waited for
Dessie to get comfortable. After about 2 days
of this girl waiting around Desdemona finally
felt comfortable enough to come out of her s
tall. It's been a roller coaster but she's coming
along well with being tamed.

Story:

Anubis lost her parents young she was raised by her parents herd the Arenbes herd she was known to be quiet but very intelligent she was appointed the medicine mares apprentice a wise choice considering her keen eye for the required herbs to cure disease and heal wounds she often spent her time by the riverside picking coltsfoot and feverfew sometimes would work day and night on those who might have been injured in more violent fights or ravaged by sickness she was committed to her herd mates they were her family often when working she would sing it would soothe the nerves of her clanmates as well as her own Anubis drew close to those around her mentor Tamira was like a mother to her all was well till the round-up strange creatures on horseback that sent the herd into a collective panic they ran she had only minutes earlier been with Tamira chatting about their yearly travel to the lake were was she now Anubis didn't know soon they were locked into strange metal corrals that smelled funny the horses with the small creatures on they were walking past them another direction a few of horse she knew screamed they were traitors it was quiet till the next morning when they were sectioned off the creators split them apart taking them in different directions she was too stunned to resist the noise and fear overwhelming her she was lead to a smaller pen where she was left to stand by herself many creatures surrounding the pen screaming to each other she flattened her ears cowering in the corner opposite of them adrenaline coursing through her finally the noise died off and one creature whooped this one female she was being led out when she spotted Tamira she suddenly stopped her heart pounding she stood in another pen of horsing the gate being opened releasing them back into the wilds all the adrenaline in her blood suddenly was being used as she fought her way with all her strength towards Tamira only to be dragged away and locked in a metal box and sent away to a strange new world

Story:

The sun was a blazing fire of agony that day. The herd was slowly trudging through the sand looking for a nice place to settle for the night. Either that or something to drink. Kalani's mouth was desert dry since they hadn't been able to drink for a few days. The lead stallion whinnied a bit up ahead signaling them to stop. There was a loud rumble, naturally the sound of thunder thought Kalani. But as she waited, she realized there were to clouds in the sky and no smell of a storm. Machines rolled from atop the hill, grinding and groaning a horrid sound. Spooked, the herd darted right, towards a small mountain range hopping to lose the machines with the terrain. Kalanis friend Luka came galloping up beside her, nudging her forward. The two were practically sister and brother and very close. Luka nipped her hindquarter a little hard, urgent. Kalani sped up the pace, noticing how close the machines were. Just a bit more, the terrain was getting rougher. So close. Finally hitting the side of a small mountain, the herd ran up the side knowing a small exit through a valley that ran through the mountain that only showed on one side. The machines were slowing down. They were going to make it! Getting her hopes up, she nickerd at Luka, who was cantering beside her because of the steep climb. Luka forgot where he was stepping and clipped a hoof on a jagged rock. He tumbled to the ground, horribly close to the edge. Kalani tried to stop, but it was like fighting a current of panic. Horses pushed her forward away from poor Luka. Kalani heard a shriek and saw a horse fall from the edge. He was gone. They kept running and made it through the valley, physically unscathed. Mentally, Kalani was destroyed. The only horse she was closest to had disappeared. She didn't sleep for days, and almost starved herself to death because of grief and regret. But she kept going, knowing Luka would have wanted her to be okay.


Personality:

Kalani is a extremely loyal horse. She gets very close to whomever she loves, may it be horse or human. If she feels you are trying to take someone away from her, she may get quite aggressive and begin to loath you. Kalani can get a bit persistent at times, but she really doesn't want to be left alone again. She's actually kind and generous when she trusts you. Kalani is very adventurous meaning you need to make sure you keep the gate locked tight, or else she might find a way out.

Quirks:

- Loves cinnamon, so much so it's almost like how cat nip affects a cat.

- Nips a little if you touch her nose too much (we're still working to fix that).

- Actually does very well with loud noises, nothing really surprises her/ scares her.

- Has figured out a way to unlatch her stall door. We have to keep some rope on there so she can't undo it.

- Hates people who touch her butt. We don't know why but we think it has something to do with her past.

this 15 year old mare has grown up in the wild, in that time she has accumulated much wisdom. She She has been a large cog in the herd she has part of since being 5 years old. She has had many foals and knows the land like the back of her... hoof? She is incredibly smart and very upset about being caught. She refuses to work with people but is slowly learning to trust after moving to a new farm with many acres of land. She is getting along with everyone to an extent but keeps everyone in line. She is evolving from the grumpy mare more and more each day. Despite her dislike for humans she isn't sassy or overly aggressive to them She has learned what that gets her. She will pin her ears back and stamp her hooves and thats about it. Under the surface she finds people interesting, despite the fact that she thinks that they're no good.
Her best friend within this new herd is a 23 year old donkey gelding called Jack. They understand each other, they understand the need for space and he is the only one smart enough not to steal her hay. If anything she looks up to him. There is only one horse she cannot stand, a young arabian type mini horse. They just steal her food, circle the herd like a dog and just under everyone feet. Few find them more annoying than she does, or the shire horse who nearly has a heart attack every time the little gremlin runs beneath him, afraid he'll trample them into the ground!

Minka is a total diva. From the food that she eats to the tack that she wears, everything needs to be top quality. She has lived a good life and it spoiled her a bit - her tendency toward pouting and whining being one example of how it's changed her.

Nevertheless she is overall very kind and nurturing. She loves her goat companion, Reggie, and enjoys the companionship of the birds who live in her pasture. She likes spending time with just about anyone, and would talk your ear off if you'll stay to listen.

Minka is a star pupil when it comes to training. She loves to be rewarded and goes out of her way to perform little tricks when someone is paying attention. It's not that she's a show-off (Okay, maybe just a little bit) but in reality she enjoys seeing the smile on someone's face when she is horsing around.

She is currently the only horse at the barn where she's stabled so she is getting all the love and attention, but she's missing out on the chance for interaction with other horses. She hopes that one day her owners would get a second mare to start a little herd of sorts.
