What is a Rynfyre?

Rynfyre (pronounced rin-fire) are cheeky fireball dogs, that love to cause mischief and mayhem (such as setting fire to your hair)! Hot lava bubbles burst from the vents on their backs - their bubbles can come in any colour. Ryn have two piercings on the outside of each ear- they receive them at birth as part of a ritual. Ryn with no piercings were abandoned/or rejected at birth. Ryn have two (sometimes three) identical tails.

this ryn was inspired by reindeer and rain. they are rare (horns).

favorite food Prancer's absolute favorite food is cinnamon toast. For anyone who isn't aware what that is, it's when you butter bread, sprinkle cinnamon mixed with sugar on top, and then cook it in the stove.
why? Prancer loves anything with sugar and that's sweet. He loves cinnamon toast because he loves anything with cinnamon - cinnamon sticks, cinnamon rolls, cinnamon donuts, cinnamon apple sauce - and this is the easiest food for him to make with it constantly. It's also a good breakfast food and one of the only things Prancer can cook.

Why? :: While this may sound silly, Aspen grew up in a traditionally Jewish home, where every Christmas it was a tradition to eat Chinese food. In fact, she would look forward to Christmas even though they didn't celebrate it, simply because she knew her whole family would come together to the local restaurant down the block, just to enjoy a meal. Now that she's out on her own, she's learning more about other holidays, but hasn't been able to bring herself to stop, every Christmas, to the same shop her family attends to enjoy the holiday meal.

why? and not those space brick noodles either but actual
ramen! thomas grew up in the city so ramen was kinda a staple back
in the day but having learned about authentic ramen has completely
changed his world! you just can't help but appreciate how much better
it tastes when it's ready made and hasn't been sitting on a shelf for who-
knows-how-long with freeze-dried vegetables and too salty seasoning
packets. mmhm, nothing like a fresh, piping bowl of noodles, thin slices
of lightly salted pork (or chicken but pork was always more of a treat),
spring onions and ginger... dang it, i'm drooling.. oh man, this my favorite
shirt!

oliver went through an "exotic-foods" phase where he tried many different, strange-looking foods. being an intense food lover, most of the things he ate he found delicious, but when he tried mangos, he bit into the fruit without peeling it, bringing a very bitter taste into his mouth. oliver instantly decided he hated mangoes and had no intention of trying them again until some time later when another rynfyre offered him dried mango slices. he was reluctant to try, but once he did, he discovered it tasted exactly like candy. oliver instantly fell in love with the sugary treat and now it's his absolute favorite.

When AJ was a wee little Ryn, his grandmother would cook him rice pilaf.
Now the dish always reminds him of all the memories he had with her.
The days when she would cook thanksgiving dinner, or just sit on her porch with him and talk over a warm plate.

why? cirrus likes all things grey [and close to grey]. she'll eat blueberries every meal of the day out of a bowl with a spoon. or on a plate. with a bread n butter knife, even. or with noodles, and maple syrup, and more blueber- oh, why does she like them? well, cirrus has had a little brother named stratus [another type of cloud - her parents are weird like that] and his favourite food is was blueberries. yeah, enough of the humour now. cirrus' little brother, stratus, ran away from home when he was five and cirrus was eleven. the whole family went into a long period of mourn, and put up posters and such. but it was no use, and stratus was never found. so cirrus eats blueberries everyday - she even used to leave a trail of them out near where they live in case he found it and followed them home - and she panics if she doesn't eat at least one a day. if she doesn't, then he'll never come back home. perhaps one day he will.
