this gal just had a chub edit as a kit, so now she also has a halo edit, tail edit, shine edit, and hair edit <3

hey there dia, I'd like to know exactly how this cover breaks oekaki rules for future reference! I will be taking it down shortly, although I would like to know what I did wrong. I asked a friend and we're both very confused about this situation!

I just read over all of the oekaki and forum rules again; there is no rule about having to display the image underneath so I'm very confused as to how this breaks oekaki rules, especially considering I am also displaying the image under the cover in the post.

it doesn't appear to break any of the rules in the thread, either. the cover isn't just words, it has a drawing on it. despite the plant being a doodle, it is covering an image that took 3 and a half hours so it isn't quick spam, either; it took effort and the cover is meant to only be there until it gets approved. the actual drawing is under this cover and wasn't created in a different program, and the image underneath the cover is displayed in the post temporarily so people can view it until it is approved and the cover is taken away.

if covers like this are not allowed, I'd be more than happy to send you a pm with a list of every other kalon growth currently under a cover like this one so they may also be informed of such rules that we didn't know about ;v;

We have rules that state that the oekaki is for drawing, not for writing. We also have rules that prevent very simple images like color fills, gradients, etc from spamming the boards. Regardless of the time spent on it, it is still a canvas that can't stand in the oekaki boards.
Being able to see the art under the cover keeps the drawing within oekaki rules.

You can keep your cover, but decrease the opacity so that the art underneath is visible.

I'll go ahead and let my friends know about this; we all used small doodles like this as a way to get around the 'no words only' rule on covers, and I really don't want to see them get in trouble for posting something similar haha

I'll fix the cover for good when I get home, though! <3 it's so hard to find the proper layers and write things on mobile so this will have to do temporarily weeps. hopefully it'll just be approved soon so there won't have to be any covers at all anymore x"D
