what do they always carry around?: carlos always keeps a particular aquamarine stone with him. it's rough, light blue, small, and has a hole which was drilled into it for it to be placed on a jewelry cord. this piece of aquamarine is very important to carlos. at the local jeweler, he bought it as a necklace of shells with a single aquamarine. it became his favorite accessory and he wore it often. carlos is a surfer and a swimmer, and he deals with waves and tides all the time but one day, there was a strong tide that almost got him, it pulled him down under.. but it miraculously went away soon enough so he could escape to the surface. he happened to be wearing the necklace! the aquamarine is revered as a talisman to protect against drowning. he think it's what saved him that day, and he never took it off until the necklace cord broke from all the wear. now he wants to put the aquamarine on a new necklace and he won't go out into the water until he can wear that auspicious stone again.

She always carry around a little bag of stuff she has collected over the years! Such as things from her mom, things from her dad, things from friends etc! One of her most prized items is a trinket heart with a picture of her family!

Well its kind of weird... And a little embarrassing.. But she carries around a necklace that has a picture of her little sister who she adopted... She never shows the inside of the locket. It's a circle shaped locket that's gold and the inside has a picture of her sister fit perfectly in the small circle.
