What are Khimaira Friesians?
Khimaira Friesians are a "normal" friesian breed with all characteristics of a friesian and a average height from 15 to 17 hands, but even 18 hands can occur. The first born Khimaira was mistaked for a chimera horse. But a genetic test showed otherwise, there wasn't a second DNA but a complete new and unknown gen. Because this gen makes the friesian look like a chimera it was named khimaira. khimaira doesn't produce a complete new dna coat and therefor it can only lighten or darken the base coat of the horse. Till now only the paint khimaira is known that makes the khimaira coloration looks like tobiano, overo, sabino or splash. But we believe that there will be more khimaira variations out there and we still try to breed them. Appaloosas are not known till now, but we have some great friesian mixed horses with appaloosa patterns, so we are sure to deliver them to you in a short amount of time.

Why is she almost blind?: She is almost blind because of a mere accident. Melody loves chemistry and science, and one day, she wanders into a human laboratory. Not knowing the dangers of chemicals (She was only a filly) she spilled some on her face. She singed off her fur temporarily and thus became blind. However, this didn't stop her from being curious and wandering even more into human labs.

Why is she almost blind?: Ori is a very bright girl. She loves to explore, and is very curious about the world around her. She loves to spend her time wandering about, taking in all the sights and sounds and smells of nature. Her eyes always glows in amazement and wonder when she steps onto new, unfamiliar ground. However, when she was still a mere filly, her family accidentally wandered near hunting grounds. A sudden bang rang out in the silence, and sent the whole herd running. Unfortunately, Ori just so happened to be standing near a tree, and she made such a sharp turn running from the scare, she head-butted straight into the tree trunk. The impact was so great, although she survived the head injury, however, it was made her lose most of her sight.

Why is she almost blind?: Ever since she was young, Quinn has always been obsessed with the sun. She loves how its rays reach out to tickle the tips of the clouds. Her blindess is due to how much she used to stare out the sun trying to work out why it burned her eyes. Sure, it hurt but she just couldn't find it in her to look away. The first few times it only ended up blinding her temporarily, but eventually she lost all her sight because she never learned her lesson. Whether or not her eyesight will ever come back is unknown, but for now she is as blind as a bat.
