Personality – As an overview / summary regarding Tal's personality, there are a few traits which could be said to be central to his personality, and they are ~ Secret softie at heart, awkward socialite, workaholic, restless insomniac and studious Sima.

Personality Traits ~ Details
Tal often comes across as a grumpy man who just wants to be left alone. This, however, is not the case in the slightest. Tal loves company and spending time with others who he cares about, and he does enjoy the attention and company that comes with socializing – he even appreciates the small chats and a simple “how's the weather?”. If he wasn't so awkward in his social manners, he'd be much more of a socialite, and he probably wouldn't have the reputation of being one to avoid conversation.
So, although he has a rough exterior and has the habit of avoiding others, he's truly a mush who just wants care and attention.
Tal, as mentioned, is a bit awkward in a social sense. It's not intentional, and he does try his best to be appropriate and well-mannered. It's just that, sometimes, he has trouble picking up on social ques or body language the same way that others may. It's always been a bit of a challenge for him for whatever reason, but he's learned to deal with it and has still managed to make some friends. He cherishes his friendships, and deeply appreciates the love and support he gets from being around them.
Tal doesn't really work a “dream job”. Though, his current job of which he's been with for quite some time is where he's met almost all of his current friends, and the pay allows him to pursue his hobbies, so he's appreciative of the opportunity he'd been given and does his best to complete everything he needs to with the most effort put forward as possible. His father was working for a small company (which has since grown tremendously) and pretty much passed along a job to him through his position in the company. Tal is on friendly terms with his boss (who was previously his father's boss as well, and had known him from a younger age) and knows that he's expected to perform well, and so he does. He knows that if he ever gets overloaded that his friends in the office will have his back, so he doesn't hesitate to take on as much work as he thinks he can manage.
Tal has some issues with sleeping to say the least. Ever since he was a little furball, he found that he'd have the most energy at night and lack energy throughout the day. Regardless of what he tried or did, it always was this way. However, thankfully, he's not the sort of Sima who needs a lot of sleep to begin with. A few hours a night is plenty for him, and he can function well throughout the day. Although, he does sometimes crash on the weekends.
At night, when Tal wakes up or simply doesn't fall asleep, he usually will try to find something to do for an hour or two and then try laying back down. One of his favorite things to do is go out and look at the stars in the night sky. When he was young, he loved the concept of outer space and the ever-changing universe. He wanted to study the universe, maybe even travel it.... but, not everything always turns out as expected. He's still happy as things are, though, and gets his fill through his nighttime walks and personal studies.
As mentioned in previous blurbs, Tal enjoys studying about various subjects and reading educational material of most kinds. His subject of choice involves the universe and outer space, as well as theories relating to such and the possibility of life existing on other planets. The concept that other worlds may be out there containing similarly intelligent life forms in all different forms astounds Tal, and is thought-provoking for him. Concepts involving the existence of multiple universes also intrigues Tal, and he tries to keep up-to-date with the latest theories and discoveries of the scientific community.

Favorites
Food – rainbow cookies. Oh, you mean real food? Seedless watermelon...maybe. Only if it's seedless.
Colors – Tal tends to like “cool” (blue/green/purple) colors over warm colors, though he's never been able to pick a favorite.
Clothes – Clothes most often make Tal feel itchy. He prefers to go without them entirely when possible.
Animal – Tal doesn't have a favorite animal either, in all honesty. He does like toy dogs and bears, though.
Outdoor activity – Tal enjoys night-time strolls more than any other outdoor activity. He isn't really a big fan of sports or sport culture.
Indoor activity – Researching on the computer; watching documentaries; reading scientific journals and documents

Likes and Dislikes
Likes1. Science and learning new theories or information from the scientific community.
2. Space and the exploration of concepts within the mind pertaining to space.
3. Bears. He thinks they aren't as hostile as others make them out to be, and he would gladly cuddle one if given the chance.
4. Alternative Rock and Jazz.
5. Spending time with close friends and family.
6. Night-time strolls and observing the night sky.
Dislikes1. Harsh sunlight and intense heat – he tends to get overheated at times.
2. Romance – He prefers being unromantic.
3. Sports – He doesn't understand the fuss regarding sports and sport culture, and it even bothers him to an extent when he sees his friends obsessing over their teams.
4. Hip-hop and Rap music – he just doesn't enjoy those types of music, but he respects those who choose to listen to those genres.
