Entrapment...
From a young age Konami has always felt a
dark presence about him. This darkness was
always there. No matter where he went the
darkness would follow. For a while he tried
to outrun the shadows. Failing every time,
he went into the only place that the darkness
could not touch. His thoughts. Whenever
he felt the darkness, he would entrap himself
deep within the fortress in his mind. It was
there that he would spend endless hours in
complete silence as the darkness could no
longer speak.

The Mind Fortress...
Konami's mind fortress was laid out with
precision and delicacy. Every thought had
a prequel and a sequel and they were all
linked together perfectly. This mind fortress
was like no other. Once entered it would
take hours sometimes even days before he
would emerge again.

When entering the first thing seen is huge fields
filled with dragon's breath and red tulips. The
second thing you would see is a huge stone wall
that stretches for miles and miles. Somewhere
past a shimmering stream there is a stone castle.
Empty of course. Huge forests sprawl along the
edge of the stone wall. There are a few breaks
in the wall where one can gain access to the
deep forests.

To sum it up the mind fortress that Konami built
is simply breathtaking. The peace and the quiet
are astounding.

And The Kicker Is...
With all of the beauty in Konami's mind fortress,
one would think that he spends his time galloping
through the fields or exploring the empty castle.
But no, he wanders around until he finds the
deepest and darkest parts of the forest. And it is
there that he will sit in silence enclosed by the
darkness around him. He feels as though in these
moments of silence that he has temporaily escaped
the darkness, but he never can truly escape the
darkness. For the darkness is a part of him and will
always be inside of him.

Art was supposed to somehow capture entrapment in the mind...
