Most super villains formulate these huge plans and they all fail and the characters live happily ever after, but Scar, he actually almost succeeded. He killed Mufasa, almost successfully exiled Simba, took over the pridelands long enough for Simba to grow up, and the pridelands to die. That's farther than almost any villain has come. He even almost killed Simba in the final battle!
