What are Khimaira Friesians?
Khimaira Friesians are a "normal" friesian breed with all characteristics of a friesian and a average height from 15 to 17 hands, but even 18 hands can occur. The first born Khimaira was mistaked for a chimera horse. But a genetic test showed otherwise, there wasn't a second DNA but a complete new and unknown gen. Because this gen makes the friesian look like a chimera it was named khimaira. khimaira doesn't produce a complete new dna coat and therefor it can only lighten or darken the base coat of the horse. Till now only the paint khimaira is known that makes the khimaira coloration looks like tobiano, overo, sabino or splash. But we believe that there will be more khimaira variations out there and we still try to breed them. Appaloosas are not known till now, but we have some great friesian mixed horses with appaloosa patterns, so we are sure to deliver them to you in a short amount of time.

Favorite thing about Easter: I like all the colors! People decorate beautiful, colorful eggs to brighten up the mood and for kids to find, bringing beauty and joy. Also, people tend to wear pastel or colorful dresses and skirts on Easter that are just- beautiful? They're all so colorful and diverse patternwise! Finally for the whole color thing, he flowers! I know this isn't Easter unique, but it's around the time when flowers start blooming and they're just so beautiful! Plus, an added bonus of Easter is that my church brings in adorable baby animals and it's like he best thing ever?!

    Favorite Part of Easter and Why: My favourite part about easter is probably when my family get together and have a bbq. It's not really got anything to do with the fact it's easter, though we do little egg hunts for the kids or some easter crafts but it's just nice to be able to meet up. I also love that around easter time we start seeing the baby animals, I am on an animal management course and so far in the last couple of weeks we have had lambs, Whisper the rabbit had her babies and Maisy-moo and Cruella the guineapigs have both had their litters and there were duckings too.

Background
Dancer was born to a rich family, she was praised for her unique coat and won many shows, even as a young horse. A breeder was very interested in her because of her pelt and made the people an offer they couldn't refuse. Saying goodbye to her owners was very hard and she was upset for a long time. The breeder lived far from her old home and the drive was horrific. When she arrived at the man's house, she was forced into a cramped stall with three other horses. She got along well with the others, as she was friendly. The breeder constantly examined them, and it was exhausting. She slowly adjusted to this life, but the man hadn't bred her yet, as he was waiting to find the perfect stallion. The original family's daughter was erratic because of the loss of her horse. The family contacted the man who refused but the family offer twice the amount of money. They currently own Dancer and she lives a happy life.

My favorite part about Easter would have to be mainly the family gathering. As a child, I always looked forward to going to my great grandmother's house on the outskirts of a small farming town. The ride there was the most anxious I had ever experienced and though it was only thirty minutes in length it felt like days. Once we arrived, I always remember running straight out into the pastures to pet my favorite horse, Sugar, my grandmother's strawberry roan blanket appaloosa. After about an hour or two, my grandmother would call me in and we would begin eating dinner. A whole spread of wild turkey, sweet potatoes, ham, and many more mouth watering food spread out on my great grandmother's table. My cousins and I would all sit around Mawmaw (Great Grandmother XD) and listen to her stories from when she was younger, amazed at how she could survive without tv, video games, and even electricity. After eating, we would all go on the 'Country Easter Egg Hunt' and spread out all over the large fields just to find as many eggs as we could.
At the end of the day, I was exhausted and slept all the way home.

When my Great Grandmother died five years ago, we also lost country Easter but I will never forget how much I loved going out there every holiday and I missed it so much that I actually bought my Mawmaw's property ten years after she had died and I am rebuilding her farmhouse where she was born.

My favorte part of Easter is gathering with my family. Every year we have a celebration at my Aunts house where they set up an egg hunt. I get to see all my younger cousins (I'm the second oldest) and we all hang out together. Every one brings a dish, and we always take a family photo at the end. We always get to hang out with each other, since we live far away, and just enjoy each other's presence. Plus the food is delicious XD

My favorite part would, actually, have to be a very recent favorite; I have a son, he turns three this year, but last year over Easter the excitement in his eyes and how he just lit up when we did various Easter related activities was such a wonderful sight. Now, I know that many little children just love the games and they all get excited, but there's just something different when it isn't just 'the neighbors kid' or 'my younger sibling/cousin/relative'. It's more magical for me, like most holidays now, with him learning everything and participating, and just showing that wonder that children have endlessly.
