They're apparently a traditional Australian dessert (I'm not from Australia, but my family made them all the time and I ate them a lot when I was little) that consist of vanilla sponge cake cut into squares, they are then covered in chocolate sauce and coconut shavings. Sometimes they are jam or cream filled as well!
