What are Khimaira Friesians?
Khimaira Friesians are a "normal" friesian breed with all characteristics of a friesian and a average height from 15 to 17 hands, but even 18 hands can occur. The first born Khimaira was mistaked for a chimera horse. But a genetic test showed otherwise, there wasn't a second DNA but a complete new and unknown gen. Because this gen makes the friesian look like a chimera it was named khimaira. khimaira doesn't produce a complete new dna coat and therefor it can only lighten or darken the base coat of the horse. Till now only the paint khimaira is known that makes the khimaira coloration looks like tobiano, overo, sabino or splash. But we believe that there will be more khimaira variations out there and we still try to breed them. Appaloosas are not known till now, but we have some great friesian mixed horses with appaloosa patterns, so we are sure to deliver them to you in a short amount of time.

Why are his eyes pink?: He inherited them from his mother, and while he would never say it out loud, he is rather embarrassed by it. As a young colt he was teased quite often about his 'girly' eye colour and would always retreat to his mother's side when it got too much. Now you will barely get an ear twitch if you mention it and he works hard to prove he is a 'true stallion'.

Why are his eyes pink?: "They're salmon! Not pink!" This is the inevitable, fuming reply that Royce gives to anyone who so much as looks twice at his eyes. He doesn't know where he got them from. Neither of his parents have vaguely similar eye colors, nor do any of his other known relations. An old, passed-down story about a "rose-eyed ancestor," though considered apocryphal by most of the family, has given him a "very-many-greats-grandfather" to lay the blame on. However, the sting is still there, and no matter how much Royce matures and grows, he's always remained touchy and sensitive about those, er... salmon-colored eyes. Those who know him also know better than to even say the word "pink" in his presence, but woe to the unsuspecting stranger who takes a second glance at this stallion's rosy orbs.

Why are his eyes pink?: Vardan's pink eyes don't actually have anything to do with his family or ancestors. When the stallion was just a small colt, he had been out in his paddock with his mother. Enjoying the day, he wasn't aware of the fate that awaited him. Vardan was having a jolly good time frolicking about in the field when a hiss was heard from the nearby trees. Suddenly, a large black figure erupted from the thick underbrush, it's fangs and claws huge and certainly terrifying. Unable to move, the near ebony colt stood frozen in fear, and wasn't prepared for the vicious attack that blinded him. The panther had swung it's sharp claws right across his face, lightly nicking both of the stallion's eyes. His mother soon came to the rescue, furiously kicking out at the dark animal before it grew tired and retreated into the bushes. Vardan's injury was serious, he had barely any vision, and his eyes were swollen and pink, the blood vessels having busted. The vet did the best he could, and the stallion's sight was partially saved, but his eyes remained the pinkish color that they had been while infected. The soot colored stallion doesn't have all of his vision to this day, maybe about 50/50, but he always has his eyes to tell the story of how his brown pools changed to pink on that terrifying day.

( I doubt this is possible, but I thought it made for a good story. cx )
