What are Khimaira Friesians?
Khimaira Friesians are a "normal" friesian breed with all characteristics of a friesian and a average height from 15 to 17 hands, but even 18 hands can occur. The first born Khimaira was mistaked for a chimera horse. But a genetic test showed otherwise, there wasn't a second DNA but a complete new and unknown gen. Because this gen makes the friesian look like a chimera it was named khimaira. khimaira doesn't produce a complete new dna coat and therefor it can only lighten or darken the base coat of the horse. Till now only the paint khimaira is known that makes the khimaira coloration looks like tobiano, overo, sabino or splash. But we believe that there will be more khimaira variations out there and we still try to breed them. Appaloosas are not known till now, but we have some great friesian mixed horses with appaloosa patterns, so we are sure to deliver them to you in a short amount of time.

Story: The herd had just entered a new area, their leader stopping to scout the place whilst the rest take a break. At that time, Aster was just a colt. Afraid to venture too far, he stood by his mother as she grazed, looking around his surroundings. Then, a gentle breeze carried a faint, strange smell that was new to him. Curiosity led him to take one, two steps closer towards the smell, and eventually his nose brushed against something soft. His eyes then focused on a multitude of tiny yellow puff balls with white feathers sticking out of them. Surprised by the cloud of white and gold in front of his eyes, he stepped backwards, bumping into his mother, who had walked up behind him. She laughed, and told him that "these are daisies, dear, they won't hurt you, so be a nice friend to them, alright?" Taking a step closer and bringing his nose up to one of the golden balls, he stared as the daisy turned to him in the wind and smiled its brilliant smile.
