What are Khimaira Friesians?
Khimaira Friesians are a "normal" friesian breed with all characteristics of a friesian and a average height from 15 to 17 hands, but even 18 hands can occur. The first born Khimaira was mistaked for a chimera horse. But a genetic test showed otherwise, there wasn't a second DNA but a complete new and unknown gen. Because this gen makes the friesian look like a chimera it was named khimaira. khimaira doesn't produce a complete new dna coat and therefor it can only lighten or darken the base coat of the horse. Till now only the paint khimaira is known that makes the khimaira coloration looks like tobiano, overo, sabino or splash. But we believe that there will be more khimaira variations out there and we still try to breed them. Appaloosas are not known till now, but we have some great friesian mixed horses with appaloosa patterns, so we are sure to deliver them to you in a short amount of time.

Reason: I have a soft spot for blue roans. Back when the Khim community was starting to grow, this special adopt popped up and I was heads over heels for him. The design of him and how he was based off of the ocean itself really makes him unique and stand out. I entered for him but wasn't able to win him. Nonetheless, I'm glad he's with an amazing owner too. Alfafa's entry was nicely done! Even till today, after over 800 Khims, I'm sure some would agree he is one of the most well-designed Khim. c:

Reason: I absolutely love sea turtles, they remind of the times when I traveled with my dad to the Bahamas when I was child. Without the Bahamas I fear that I wouldn't be so close with my dad because he has always been distant with me. The Bahamas also helped me see the world outside of Canada, my grandparents own a cottage there so we weren't at a resort or anything. I was able to see and experience a small piece of what living there is like. So I feel like it has had a huge impact on how I view the world compared to my friends who has only ever been inside of Canada. I also had the memorable moment of finding out people actually eat turtles from a cookbook there, I was more than freaked out. Never touched said cookbook after that. You may wonder why I reacted this way, it's because it's illegal to own, let alone eat, turtles.
I also simply love the art and how the colours work so nicely with each other. And I love appaloosas <3

Reason: First off, anyone I know will tell you that I love Halloween more than life itself. For that reason this stallion immediately got my attention. I adore orange, black, and browns, which are underrated in my opinion. But after looking at this guy for a long time, its very easy to tell that there was a great amount of effort and thought put into making him and perfecting his markings. The werewolf, witch, and bat formed by the spider webs are also very nice additions to the bolder spider and branch-like markings.
