"There once was a mountain side that contained a paradise. In the middle of this paradise was a huge lake full of fish, and this paradise was ruled by a Vaiki, shared only to those who showed respect and were of a lower rank. This vaiki had no name, but others adopted the name Capri, thinking he might be the one and only Capricorn. Capri lived alone with his betta fish, he loved his fish, they were... everything to him. He always made sure they had enough territory of their own so they would not fight. He was large & fierce and easily tackle the neighboring Vaikis when they dared travel into his home. The number of ignorant wonderers had a large increase one summer, and Capri got fed up with it. He left his paradise for the first time since he found it. (Vaikis say that the large amount of direct sunlight burned him.) Capri stomped through the hills that laid between him and the other ki's. When he reached his destination, he wanted peace. He intended to ask nicely for them to not disturb him. As he got close he could hear a faint horn calling. As he continued on he could see the number of vaikis outside their den grow larger and larger. He saw fear in them, and he too had fear, but he didn't show it. Capri stood for a while as all the vaikis stared. He saw looks of confusion and hate, no compassion or kindness. A large vaiki who sized up to Capri pushed through the crowd. His fins were long and beautiful; stride was graceful. The other vaikis moved in closer with this large vaiki, presumably their leader, and circled Capri. One from behind pushed him over and another kicked him to roll on his back. Capri winced in pain as the leader pinned him down, he heard two pairs of feet run off with tools clinking.
"You have hurt enough of us. You have damaged enough of us. You have weakened enough of us. We shall return the favor." A female voice rang out. Capri struggled to slip out of their grasp but his strength was no match to this many 'kis. Multiple vaikis struck all at once. Within little moments time he already had countless bites and scratches from the piling 'kis. He felt a huge blow to the stomach as one kicked him; his head was being pounded against fur and the ground, but he didn't fight back.
"Enough is enough." He could hear a vaiki scream.
All the vaikis turned to this voice. "He hasn't killed any of us so lets not kill him!"
Capri was dizzy and in lots of pain. "Why, Why does everyone hate me." He was thinking.
The vaiki pushed through the crowded 'kis and held out his hand. Capri, shaking and barely conscious, reached out for it weakly, almost no strength left. The 'ki helped him stand up and started to speak, but Capri fell down; all turned black.
Capri woke up and felt multiple arms underneath him. He didn't know where he was but he knew he was being carried. He pretended to be unconscious until he felt himself be lowered and slid onto some dirt. He felt their presence still there after a while, and stayed still until one tapped his shoulder with their foot. Capri opened his eyes and looked up to see three vaikis staring at him. One whispered "We are really sorry." as the others looked up; they sprinted away. He struggled to get up, but once he did he realized they brought him home. He looked up and gazed at the makeshift stairs, he slid right down to rest.
A few days later Capri had enough strength to trek up the mountain to be with his fish where he felt he belonged. With high hopes he smiled every step up knowing he would have peace. He walked in and the smile dropped. It was all destroyed. His sleeping area, torn up and burnt; His drinking source contaminated with dirt and who-knows-what; His torches snapped in many pieces; everything was ruined. Capri staggered over to his pond in tears.
He knelt down, wincing in pain, and stuck his paws in the water. He felt a fish brush up against his paw, but he could tell it wasn't one of his betta fish. He slammed his paw through the water, spraying it up in anger as soon as he saw his betta, all dead because of an invasive species. "How did they do all of this in such little time!" He cried out. "Why would they do this!?" He was in tears as he gently held one of his betta in his paws. Capri set down the fish after hours of despair. He bolted outside back to the vaikis. Determination and sadness were the only things that drove him on. He reached their den but all was silent- too silent. He poked his head in and trotted around. Nothing was there, no one was their. "They could be anywhere," he thought "anywhere..."
To this day he is a nomad, traveling around to find that group of vaikis for revenge, but also in hope to find a place he will be accepted. I think that all should be accurate, because I am Capri."
